Drug Interaction Precautions

Do not take this product if you are taking a prescription drug for anticoagulation (thinning of blood), diabetes, gout, or arthritis unless directed by a doctor.

Warnings

Children and teenagers should not use this medicine for chicken pox or flu symptoms before a doctor is consulted about Reyes Syndrome, a rare but serious illness. Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, contact a doctor or the Poison Control Center immediately. Do not give this to children under 12 years of age. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product. Do not take this product for more than 10 days or for fever for more than 3 days unless directed by a doctor. Insomnia may be a symptom of serious underlying medical illness. Do not take this product unless directed by a doctor if you have a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis, or if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, glaucoma or difficulty urinating due to enlargement of the prostate gland, stomach problems (such as heartburn, upset stomach, or stomach pain) that persist or recur, ulcers or bleeding problems, or if you are allergic to aspirin or salicylates. If ringing in the ears or a loss of hearing occurs, consult a doctor before taking any more of this product. Avoid alcohol beverages while taking this product. Do not take this product if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers, without first consulting your doctor. Do not use with any other product containing diphenhydramine, including one applied topically.
