Indications

For relief of nausea due to upset stomach from intestinal flu, stomach flu, and food or drink indiscretions.

Directions

Administer dosage below every 15 minutes or until distress subsides: Adults---One or two tablespoons. Children 2 to 12---One or two teaspoons. For maximum effectiveness, never dilute Emetrol or drink fluids of any kind immediately before or after taking. Caution: Not to be taken for more than one hour (up to 5 doses) without consulting a physician. If nausea continues or recurs frequently, consult a physician. Store at room temperature.

This product contains fructose and should not be taken by persons with hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI). As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of health professional before using this product. This product contains sugar and should not be taken by diabetics except under the advice and supervision of a physician. In case of accidental overdose, contact a doctor or the Poison Control Center immediately. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children.  Notice:  Each bottle is protected by a printed band around the cap.  Do not use if band is damaged or missing.

I took this to combat ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 12/20/07 I took this to combat morning sickness and it was very helpful at calming my churning stomach. I appreciate that it can be taken during pregnancy. One star off for not being that effective if you have more severe or rapid nausea.

A lot of times the first ... by sandi in Winston Salem, NC on 5/13/07 A lot of times the first dose comes back up, that's pretty common, so try again. It usually works the 2nd time. It is a good product, although I am going to see if Prelief works as well, since it contains more phosphorous.

I agree that Emetrol ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/14/07 I agree that Emetrol works great, I have used it many times myself. My only complaint is the "red dye #40" that they add. My pre-schooler couldn't keep the first dose down, and now I have red dye to clean off the carpet.

We have a stomach virus ... by April in Rockaway, NJ on 4/10/07 We have a stomach virus that has been circulating in our area for over a year. This is the ONLY thing that helps. Safe for children, too! I highly recommend keeping a bottle on hand. It can be hard to find when you really need it.

However, I can only give this one 3 stars because of the nasty cherry flavor. Years ago, they made an alternative flavor that was yummy. I don't know if it is even available now. It will really settle your stomach.

This really cures my ... by Simone B in Beaver Falls, PA on 10/15/03 This really cures my nausea for all kinds of reasons (except for very bad stomach viruses, food poisoning, etc.). It tastes much better then products like Pepto-Bismol and doesn't have the side effect of messing with your intestinal system. They used to make a lemon flavored Emetrol, which I liked better, but I haven't seen anything but the cherry flavored for years now, and even though it is a little sweet for my tastes, it still tastes better then any other medicine I've ever taken for nausea!
