One of the best. by Caroline in Raleigh, NC on 7/25/08 Pros: Easy To Use, Reduces Irritation, Smooth, quick Cons: Gooey Best Uses: Close Shaving, Daily Use Describe Yourself: Sensitive Skin Bottom Line: recommended When I saw this product on tv, I thought "Whoa thats amazing!" So, I tried it, and expected good results since it was from Venus. And, what you see is what you get.I absolutely loved it!!! I saved money because I didnt have to buy shaving cream, and plus, I wouldnt get shaving cream everywhere. It was perfect! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, because when you wet the razor, the gel bars turn kinda gooey. Like, they still stay hard but theres a very gooey residue. But, aside that, it works great and I'll continue to buy it!

From the first day the ... by Indigo in Undisclosed on 6/10/08 From the first day the Original Venus razor came out (light blue one) Ive always been a Loyal Venus fan. So far Ive tried everyone of their products (yes even the disposables) and this one is my absolute favorite. At first I was very skeptical about using no shaving cream but to my surprise I got a super close shave; no nicks, razor burn etc. A big plus, I'm able to shave my legs under 15 minutes and thats both legs. Great for the under arms too. Ladies if youre a busy gal like me or just want to try something new you will not be disappointed. By the way I dont know why everyone is making a big deal out of the shave bars being too gooey. For me they were perfect and they last for 2 weeks (I shave every 4 days because when I do shave the smoothness lasts for about 4 days). Also the bars smell so good too. A flowery/lavendery smell. Yes the replacements are a little expensive but its totally worth the green.

Well, I have to say, I don't remember the day when my legs were this smooth. I thought that the shave gel bars would get in the way, but no - they actually work! No shave gel necessary. The reason why I took one star away is because not only are the refill cartridges really big & they get gooey after being wet, but also they are mad expensive! I hope they lower the price soon. Otherwise, this is a very effective, high-end product.

When I first bought this, ... by Doreen in Morris Plains, NJ on 3/30/08 When I first bought this, I thought, "Great. Now I won't get shaving cream everywhere while I shave." When I actually used the razor, it was awful. The gel got everywhere when wet, it was hard to shave with, and I quickly learned that you should never try to shave under the arms with the Breeze. Long story short, this was an awful buy.

But, that's about as many times as the blade and built in shaving gel will last. I fell in love with them at first, but for the price of the razors I'd say it's really not worth it if you can only get a one time use out of each one.

Expensive razor, not a ... by Barbara C in Rome, GA on 11/19/07 Expensive razor, not a close shave, bars do NOT lubricate well, and within a week the bars have worn down and fall off. I ended up shaving with what was left of the razor, using shaving cream. Save your money and use the original Venus or the Venus Divine.

I hate to even give this ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 10/16/07 I hate to even give this one star. First off, it doesn't shave nearly as close as a standard razor or even the Intuition. Second, I used this for the first time visiting a friend and left it at her house. A couple months later I returned and she had it waiting for me so I used it again. It made my legs break out in a rash of tiny blisters that the doctor called an allergic reaction. I have never had an allergic reaction to anything (and had no reaction the first time I used it). Since then, my mother has also gotten a similar rash (and she lives on the other side of the country). Her doctor said it was a bacterial infection probably caused by shaving. Guess what razor she was using? She had just returned home from traveling and so the razor had sat unused for a couple of weeks. Seems okay if you use it every day, but I wouldn't use this razor again on a bet. The gooey gel must be a breeding ground for bacteria. Ewww.

I have used just about ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 10/14/07 I have used just about every razor out there. Well when I saw this one I had to try it. Well, it works pretty well and it lubricates petty well too. The only thing bad about this razor is that they get really gooey when you use them which doesnt bother me but then also there is the price of these razors which is just crazy. Other than that this razor is a 5-star.

Well, it doesn't give me ... by Joanne in Spanaway, WA on 10/13/07 Well, it doesn't give me as close of a shave as the Gillette Fusion, but I really did like the shave bars. I really hate having to use shaving cream; put it on too thick and it hinders shaving, so I found the bars to be just right. Just be sure to keep your legs and the bars wet and it'll glide right along. So, all in all, I think it's a fabulous idea. I don't have to mess with shave foam and I think makes up for the fact that I'll have to start shaving every day again. I'm all for simple.

The strips don't provide ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 10/9/07 The strips don't provide enough lubrication, and don't last nearly as long as the razor blades themselves. The replacement blades are very expensive too, so it makes this razor idea pretty unreasonable. I have to use soap with it after the first 2-3 shaves, which defeats the purpose. The only good thing going for it is that it gives a good shave, but you can just get the basic Venus model if that's all you're after. Disappointed.

The gel bars are amazing ... by katherine in New York, NY on 9/9/07 The gel bars are amazing for about three days, but it doesn't last a week. This makes these blades pretty expensive.

I was so excited to try ... by Kimberly in Topsham, ME on 8/28/07 I was so excited to try these blades when they first came out, but I was disappointed. The gel bars didn't lubricate my legs well enough, so I ended up with several nicks. I started using shave cream with them, which defeats the purpose of the gel bars! I really love the other Gillette Venus, so I have gone back to using those.

this is a great razor, it ... by KayLee in Undisclosed on 8/19/07 this is a great razor, it cuts extremely close. i like it alot, no messy shaving cream, just jump in the shower with it and your done. i have it a 3 because the soup on the blade only last at most 5 days if u shave everyday.

This is an amazing razor ... by Khadijah in Undisclosed on 8/15/07 This is an amazing razor for a close shave! The first time I used this my legs felt smooth for almost a full week! I've tried other razors, but no other one could stand up to this product!
