I wanted to like this product, I really did. The first week I used this, it was soothing, gentle, removed makeup and oil, though didn't seem to be doing anything for my few zits. After that, it started preventing breakouts, but as the cooler seasons approached, it completely dried my skin out; my forehead, nose and chin began flaking, despite the fact that I have oily skin and apply a generous amount of moisturizer after every use. For something that's only .5% Salicylic Acid, this is way too powerful and took over my skin routine (I can't use my toner or my zit cream as much anymore, because this is drying enough). I suppose this could work better as a summer product for those who don't use any other things with it. Lastly, it lasts absolutely forever, which is annoying for me because I've been trying to get rid of it for some time now. I got it in mid-August, now it's the end of November, and with every day use, I still have a inch of product left in the bottle. I will not buy again. Switching to Clean & Clear's Detoxifying Facial Cleanser.

I have very sensitive skin, and this 0.5% Salicylic Acid doesn't irritate my skin near as bad as the 2.0% Salicylic Acid. However, I can only leave the 0.5% Salicylic Acid in contact with my skin for about 30 seconds or so (less than a minute), or my skin ends up red for several hours, unlike the 2.0% strength which had left my skin red for a couple days.

This is the best face wash I have ever used, and I have used many! I've tried nearly every product on the market and nothing has made my face feel as clean and refreshed as this foaming wash. I use it with an exfoliating face sponge so I get the exfoliation as well as the deep clean foaming action. Nuetrogena products are the only products I trust for my skin and face and out of all of their face washes this one works the best for me.

I used it at a time when I had pretty bad skin and it wasn't effective. perhaps it along with other products was not good, I just know I had to stop using it - it dried out my skin.

I'm a licensed esthetician. I recommend this product for women who can't afford my main line. It's good for oily skin, but needs to be used with a non-salicylic moisturizer. It's great for inflammatory acne, as it has the soothing cucumber in the formula. Not the biggest fan of the foam, which can be a bit overly drying, but again, that's why they need moisturizers too. I love using this with people with types of hormonal/inflammatory acne, sebum control, or those who want daily care for their blackheads. Probably won't be the most effective with cystic acne. Bacterial acne is often best treated by a benzoyl peroxide instead of this product, but results may occur depending on the skin type.

This product is just good.. I recommended it to a few friends and they all love it. I'm just sad that the Pharmacy CVS does not carry them anymore.. That I cannot understand... if a product is that good and people are buying it, why stop selling it... Thats just not fair... I will just keep ordering in online thats all. I give it a 10 out of 10. After turning 45, my skin turned into a teenager's - with acne. I tried every product to help eliminate the redness, sores, breakouts without results. Then in a pinch I found this product - ON SALE - at a local grocery, it was the only acne item on the self from Neutrogena (which I trust), so I gave it a try. WOW. I get so many compliments on how clear and smooth my skin is, and how great I look. I will always keep this in my daily daily routine.

The cleanser works effectively on acne prone skin. The scent is calming as well. The only problem is the bottle's dispenser. It jams after a few uses. Also, local drugstores are have stopped carrying product on shelves. It's become quite limited. :(

I bought this on clearance at a local store thinking it would be worth a try. I love that it gently cleanses, and my pores look so much better now. The clogged pores on my nose that other cleansers did nothing for are now much better. This cleanser is not as effective on the bumps on my chin. I have always had mild adult breakouts on my chin, and this has not cleared them up, even after a few weeks of use.

Great product, leaves my skin clear and glowing...and lasts forever! I've stopped taking acne medication and needed a cleanser that could help take care of mild adult acne. I've been extremely pleased with the results. A bonus is that each bottle lasts 2-3x longer than other cleansers.
