Directions

Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying medication. Cover the entire effected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day.

For external use only. Do not use this medication if you have very sensitive skin or if you are sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. When using this product Keep away from eyes, lips and mouth. Avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use a sunscreen. Avoid contact with hair or dyed fabric, including carpet and clothing which may be bleached by this product.  This product may cause irritation, characterized by redness, burning, itching, peeling or possibly swelling. Mild irritation may be reduced by using the product less frequently or in a lower concentration. If irritation becomes severe, discontinue use; if irritation still continues, consult a doctor.Using other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. If this occurs, only one medication should be used unless directed by a doctor. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children.  If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Give it a chance and don't use to much or it will dry out your skin. I use it in the mornings and at night before bed and it's done wonders.

About 3 months ago i had THE worst acne. I started wearing foundation and such but those still didnt help. What i decided to do changed my life. I researched a bit and figured out that to get rid of my acne i should: Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize,and occasionally use a treatment. So i did just that, i bought persa gel 10(this), a biore pore minimizing mousturizer, Deep cleansing Oil by DHC(removes makeup), and an expensive soothing apricot toner from elemis. So i used all of them except the persa gel for about a month and so great improvements. When i first got the gel i didnt read the instructions and just slathered it on. I was horrified the next morning, my oilyish face was dry! The next time i used the gel i READ the instructions and applyed a small dab after using my toner before bed. That morning i cleansed ,toned,mostiurized my face and was amazed. My skin looked AMAZING!!!! Ever since then i use a small dab on my problem spots before bed, and most pimple are gone! on the toughys i will apply a small amount more and it might take 2-3 days but it will be all clear! I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS TO ANYONE WITH ACNE BECAUSE UNLIKE OTHER PRODUCTS.......IT WORKS!!!

I used it in the evenings on whiteheads that had appeared and i found the next morning that zits were alot smaller and less oily. This product does what it says and is not super expensive. In all i was pretty happy with it.

I've been using ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 5/28/08 I've been using pro-active for about 5 months now, and it has done nothing to my skin. I've used this product for 2 weeks, and it has done more progress then pro-active has ever done to me. Yes it dries out my skin and it doesnt get rid of my pimples, but it does shrink them. Only gave it 3 stars

All I can honestly say is ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 5/9/08 All I can honestly say is wow. I'm a teenager with acne prone skin, but using this product for a little more than a month I see amazing improvements. It shrinks the pimples without causing too much aggravation on your face. It also evened out my skin toned from acne scars. The only reason this does not deserve 5 stars because it dries your skin out a lot (but is preferable product for oily skin such as mine) and the product leaves residue. This is not necessarily a miracle product but with a little improvement I believe it can be considered.

I have been using this ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/23/08 I have been using this stuff for years and will not travel without it. It does bleach your clothes if it gets on them. It will stop a pimple dead in its tracks. I have sensitive skin but have never had a problem. Check in the mirror before leaving the house because if you aren't careful it will dry white.

This is great for ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 1/11/08 This is great for overnight treatment of red pimples. I wouldn't say it gets rid of white heads or black heads, bud it definitely gets rid of red pimples overnight. It dries out your skin very fast so you can't use it every day, but I use it about three nights a week and my skin is still a bit dry. There is hardly a smell and the consistency is great. If you have sensitive skin I would probably not use it because I think it would cause irritation, but I have skin that can endure anything so that is why I use this. It does dye anything it gets onto so you have to be careful, and also don't get it on your eyebrows because I think it burned mine off. I also think that prolonged use of it has put streaks in my hair (but that is just a theory that I don't know is true). Overall this is great for diminishing red pimples overnight and I love it.

I think this is more of a ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 12/31/07 I think this is more of a preventative product than anything, because it doesn't work much on large or brand new pimples. Its pretty rough on the face, so just use a little bit and follow up with an oil-free moisturizer (I recommend Clean & Clear dual action moisturizer.) Also, it works great on the chest and back.

It is affordable and buy it both in the brand name and generic version. One tube lasts me a long time, which is really great because I don't use it every day anyhow. This has become a staple product and one that I plan to never be without.

I recommend using white ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 11/4/07 I recommend using white towels when you are using this product. This product contains the maximum 10% benzoyl peroxide, not like other products that contain less so it is going to bleach your skin and everything. If you have dark spots that are left by pimples I highly recommend trying this product, it will lighten it and even your skin tone. On new pimples you won't see much of a result, I recommend using something else for new pimples.

This stuff works wonders ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 11/2/07 This stuff works wonders in conjunction with a good AHA product. Only dab on your pimple as it will seriously dry out your skin if you use it all over. It's not a miracle cure, as I will still get an occasional pimple that takes forever to get rid of. Also, don't use BP with any Vitamin A product, because it will cause the BP not to work as effectively, or at all.

It works just like any ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 10/5/07 It works just like any other acne treatment, but make sure your face doesn't touch anything! Our towels and bed sheets now have huge bleach spots all over them. It took a while before we realized it was the acne medication that was doing it! Now we only use products with salicylic acid.
