It took me about two years to locate this product again. When I went to my drug store I found it I was verry pleased. When I was in college this came in the campus trial pack they gave everyone and I've been using it ever since, about 10 years now! I'm an experimenter when it comes to beauty products but when you find something that works you keep using it. It cleans make-up very easily, ESPECIALLY eye make-up, including waterproof mascara which is surprising for something so gentle. I have combination skin so it's hard to find a cleanser that's not too dry on the dry parts or too moisturizing for the oily parts. It leaves my face feeling 'normal', not filmy, tight or oily when rinsed off. For the last couple of years I've not been able to find the "cleaner clean" gel, only the bars which I don't like as well, and when I called Biersdorf they were able to tell me that no one within 100 miles of me is ordering this and referred me to this website. I don't know why more people don't use it; it's far better than any of the very expensive things I tried after not being able to find it on the shelves in my area. After getting a facial at the Red Door, I was convinced I was using the wrong face soap. The woman told me clear soap (not creamy) and gentle. I found the most gentle soap around. It's just nice-the smell isn't too overwhelming-there are no scrubbing beads that dry your face out (although those scrubbing beads do come in handy every few days in the summer) and it isn't too foamy. I also found out that in order to get a good wash-the soap should be gently pulled off your skin-just rinsing it with water doesn't grab the dirt/oil/makeup. You should either be using a damp washcloth, cotton pads or gauze. You should try it-you'd be amazed at what else is removed from your face. Therefore, this soap is great...I will definitely buy it again! :)

I've used this face wash for over 10 years and I Love it. Before I found this product I used many different products but Basis is the only one that cleans my face and keeps my skin looking younger. There is never a soapy feeling left on my face and I can used the product 3-4 times a day and my face still feels and looks great.
