Good Product by tajhntee in Brooklyn, NY on 8/24/08 Pros: Effective Protection, Not Greasy Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented Bottom Line: not recommended I read all the comments and decided to try this as a hair gel. It didn't work for my hair, it dried it out and left a residue. I used it after my son got a sunburn on vaction, it soothed his face and promoted healing. For me it worked on a curling iron burn on my ear. I will use it as a first aid product, but it didn't wow me like it did for some of the other reviewers.

It has a wonderful cooling feeling and as an added bonus, there is no dye and all natural ingredients. Not all aloe gels contain aloe vera (most have aloe extract and non-aloe ingredients and are dyed bright green). My mother recently got a burn when cooking; she used this and it heeled in one day. No one in my family had any allergy issues with this product, and we all have sensitive skin, so it passed the test.

In my opinion there is nothing better. It is natural, not greasy and essentially disappears minutes after application leaving skin moisturized. I wish drugstore.com carried the larger sizes.

But it's also a great moisturizer - and has worked better than anything else I've tried for a small patch of eczema on my face if used twice a day. I have tried using it as my facial moisturizer, and it works fine - but like someone else, I get that tight "coated" feeling afterwards, but have not had the flakes they refer to. NOTE: THIS IS THE SAME EFFECT YOU WILL GET IF YOU CUT OPEN AN ALOE LEAF AND SPREAD THE GEL DIRECTLY OUT OF THE PLANT. Overall this is a GREAT product and is much easier than maintaining my huge aloe plants. I'd need to grow a lot more of them to use it 2-3 times a day as I do this. I still Band-Aid the leaf directly to a burn or cut for first aid use instead of using this since it does have some chemicals in it.

I've been using this ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 1/23/08 I've been using this product for many years, originally to sooth sunburn. By naturally moisturizing, there is no peeling and you can keep your tan much longer. This manufacturer also makes a very good sunblock, (though hard to find)goes on dry without scent. I apply this brand of aloe vera every morning over my entire body. You don't need expensive moisturizers, after shaves or anything else. I'm a true believer and only wish it were available in more stores in larger sizes.

I put it on and the next thing I knew, I feel like breaking out and yes, I did break out. I stop using it on the face and just use as a gel so that's good that it is still good for something else.

I really like the tiny travel bottles to keep in my purse or makeup bag. I have very sensitive skin and trust no other aloe brand but this one on my face because of the pure ingredients.

Being a diabetic, ... by Jim in Undisclosed on 11/6/07 Being a diabetic, scratches, insect bites, wounds and burns can become horrible sores in no time. Build-up of medications in the areas where perspiration gathers is also frequently needed to be removed. Internal organs and glands need to be kept healthy and clean. I use your aloe vera juice to keep my insides clean and your gel to keep my outside clean. It helps to heal wounds faster than any thing else. My family uses it as an after shower moisturizer and for all injuries. I could go on and on, about the many ways we have occasions to use your products, but then no one else would find any new uses.

I have sensitive skin and ... by Kelly in Daly City, CA on 8/21/07 I have sensitive skin and it "burned" my skin. Yes!!as an aloe vera gel that it claims. People need to know it's 100% GEL, not 100% ALOE VERA. How many aloe vera is in that "100% gel" is I don't know. But the chemical it contains made my skin itch with pain and resulted in some kind of redness.

As an multiracial african ... by d in Undisclosed on 7/24/07 As an multiracial african american, this product has done wonders for my hair. It controls and defines the curls of even very curl/kinky hair without weighing it down. It keeps a healthy shine but without the greasy feeling. I recommend this product for parents of mixed children or anyone with curly or kinky hair. I use a little leave in conditioner to moisturize my hair, a small amount of oil for scalp and this product is a perfect finish in combination. The main key is that it has NO alcohol! I love it!

I absolutely LOVE this ... by jessica in Undisclosed on 7/5/07 I absolutely LOVE this product, it's all natural and great for everything. It can be used for almost anything! This stuff makes a great moisterizer and it makes my skin look so radiant and smooth. It helps with my redness from acne and best of all this gel won't clog pores and is oil-free! This is the only moisterizer i use from now on and this makes a awsome hair gel too. I highly recommend this product!
