I have normal to combination skin and I started using this about a week ago. I use it at night to take off my makeup and then wipe it off with a damp washcloth. I rinse my face off in the shower too. It makes your skin soft, clean feeling, and moisturized. It seems to take off every bit of makeup too which is great. I love the smell too, it kind of smells like roses, but it is a bit strong. I will continue to use this great product!

I really like this stuff. It gets off my makeup without being runny and burning my eyes and my skin feels so soft afterward, more than if I had used lotion. Still, it is a pain to get off with tissues and using a washcloth gets a little rough on the skin so that the moisturizing effects aren't as intense. Also, I wish it came in a bigger size. It seems a little pricey for the small container and what used to be a standard product for every woman.

The ponds formula changed in early 2009. I had a terrible experience with my eyes as a result.Have used it for 25 years. Test before buying if you've not purchased recently. Too bad they had to change it. It was a great product.

People have been telling me lately that I have great skin. Why? Well, maybe Pond's Cold Cream has something to do with it. I use it as a combination make-up remover/under make-up moisturizer. It's gentle and feels good...and works. Many other products have come and gone, but this one is here to stay...I hope.

Pond's cold cream works great to remove makeup. I have only begun to use it after recently buying a makeup foundation that works super well, but is difficult to take off after the day has ended (I'm talking about Revlon's Colorstay foundation, with SoftFlex and SPF 6). The way I use it: I treat it like I would with normal creme. I dab a small amount to the forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. Then I lather and rinse afterwards. Now, I mentioned in the "Cons" section that my face feels waxy/greasy after I remove it. It may be because I don't tissue it off like it says to on the back of the tub. It bothers me for about a second, since right after I remove the makeup, I use my licorice soap to cleanse my face. After that, my face feels great and no longer has that "waxy feel" to it.

I've been using Pond's cold cream for about two weeks now and the change has been drastic. I was pretty spotty on night-time face washing before due to hassle and dry/sensitive skin irritation, but this has been extremely easy to incorporate into my routine and has made my skin softer than it's been in years. Slap it on, rub it around, and wipe it off. Easy as pie.

My grandmother used Pond's cold cream for years & years. I can remember as a child watching her remove her makeup every night with that familiar white jar of Pond's. She swore by it. As I grew up, I began buying more expensive brands and cleansers in pretty packaging, which always resulted in dry, tight and dull skin. I finally saw an article on Pond's and decided to give it a try. I thought granny must have been on to something because she had almost wrinkle-free skin up until she passed at age 94! I will never go back to expensive products again. Pond's leaves my skin feeling soft & supple and not tight and irritated. Removes all my makeup and I wake up with great looking skin. It's reasonable, does a great job and I love the vintage look of the jar! brings back lots and lots of fond memories too!

I think the best way to use this product is to apply it, leave it on for a minute and then wipe it off with a wet washcloth. It's really amazing, it really does remove all my tough eye make up and gunk. Leaves me skin feeling super clean and improved the texture of my skin. People say not to use this with oily skin but I have oily skin. My theory is that once your skin is well moisturized, it will re-balance itself by not producing as much oil. My skin isn't oily during the day anymore!

I was born in 1944. You all can do the math, OK? My mother started me on this product when I was about 13 as part of my day and night facial cleansing regimen. When I started wearing make up, she insisted that I begin with Pond's Cold Cream to remove my make up at night. Over the years I have tried other products. Nothing else works as well or as simply as this. I have come back to this product because I now have very sensitive skin (the old aging bugaboo) and I needed something that I can trust. Just like 50 years ago this product meets all my needs. I use other Pond's products, but I begin with this!

After returning to Australia from an extended visit to the USA I was distraught to find that after goodness knows how many generations - Ponds had sold out to Dove - and my Ponds Cold Cream - which I've used now for over 50 years no longer exists 'down under'. Their pathetic replacement just doesn't compare. My only hope is that Ponds doesn't sell its soul to the devil elsewhere in the world and that I'll be able to continue with this tried and proved unique product.
