I used the product for an outbreak of shingles. Relieved the burning sensation, but needed to apply frequently to get continued relief

Does help with itching in large areas so it is economical.

This is the best anti-itch lotion I've ever used. I've tried many...including Aveeno...and this works the best.

This lotion is the only lotion that has helped my itchy legs. The smell isn't all that pleasing, but I'd rather have itch-free legs!

Sarna cures EVERYTHING! First, its main function (itch-relief): it has put my bedtime wrist and arm itching under control. I usually have to apply 2-3 layers, and then I'm good for the night. Next, you note camphor is a main ingredient in other products--masks and cold sore treatments--for a good reason. I had a sore upcoming and Sarna's camphor (applied throughout the 2nd day) has sped up healing by at least 1 week. The sore progressed straight into 'scab' mode! AND, I routinely have crazy whitehead eruptions on my chin and around my mouth from PMS--and one day of Sarna has completely calmed down the skin, leaving no red marks or noticeable whiteheads. So I say, is there anything Sarna can't do? Now, it doesn't hurt that I actually like the smell of camphor, but I find it does fade away for most purposes. In any case, you could limit your use to the evening and night.

The smell was not nice and it didn't really control the itching. I returned this item.

Maybe I've just gotten used to it, but I don't think the smell is bad at all. Applied right after showering, this lotion has done wonders for my itchy skin. The cool tingly feeling is very refreshing.

This works excellent on itchy hives. I like way the camphor and menthol leaves my skin feeling; kind of soothing & tingling. BUT no itching and takes away the desire to scratch. Awww true relief.

I have a VERY ITCHY pregnancy rash in the 3rd trimester. This is the ONLY lotion that works for me; I have tried every anti-itch out there. I don't like the smell, but it relieves the itching! Another thing that soothes is Aveeno oatmeal bath (though other Aveeno products don't do much for my rash).

This is good stuff, but 'Sarna Ultra' is what was recommended by our dermatologist. It's far superior in it's healing abilities and cuts the itch faster. And it's still non-steroidal. A bit more expensive but well worth it. I don't know why drugstore.com doesn't carry it, but I wish they would so I won't have to keep making a special trip to the Drug Store for the Ultra.
