Indications

For use in the prevention of iron deficiency when the need for such therapy has been determined by a physician.

Directions

Tablets must be swallowed whole. ADULTS: One or two tablets daily or as recommended by a physician. A maximum of four tablets daily may be taken. CHILDREN: One tablet daily. Store at controlled room temperature 20-25°C (68-77°F). Protect from moisture.

The treatment of any anemic condition should be under the advice and supervision of a physician. As oral iron products interfere with absorption of oral tetracycline antibiotics, these product should not be taken within two hours of each other. If  pregnant or breast feeding, as a health professional before use.  Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. Keep this product out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately. Child Resistant - Blister packaged for your protection.  Do not use if individual seals are broken.

Excellent iron ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 1/21/08 Excellent iron supplement. It doesn't bother my stomach and has given me the energy I need. The tablets are a bit hard to remove from the package, but that's the only negative (which isn't a big deal). I would recommend the item. I have been taking it for one year.

Vernon, IN on 6/29/00 I've suffered from anemia since I was a little girl, but always hated to take the iron supplements I needed because of the side effects. I tried the Slow Fe Slow Release Iron Tablets and liked them! I didn't experience the side effects that I have with other iron supplements, such as stomach upset and constipation. I also noticed that I didn't seem to get that feeling of real exhaustion at the end of the day like I have in the past. I don't think the Slow Fe Slow Release Iron tablets gave me energy -- the feeling was more like stamina.

I particularly liked Slow ... by Kim L in Zachary, LA on 6/28/00 I particularly liked Slow Fe Slow Release Iron because of its small size, which made it easy to swallow. Unlike other Iron tablets, these tablets had no strong smell. However, the recommended daily dosage for adults was one or two tablets daily with a maximum of four to be taken. I'd prefer to take only one tablet a day. For sensitive stomachs, this product would be perfect.

The only negative thing was that they were hard to remove from the package. I'll continue taking them and would recommend them.

But it's handy to break one tablet off to throw in my purse, and not have it roll around loose. Overall, this seems to be a good product. I haven't had any problems or adverse side effects.
