for the most part, I really liked this lip balm. I really don't get what the bad reviews are about. truth be told, there really wasn't much shimmer but it did smell great and it semt to work just fine. I love the ChapStick brand (their moisturizing spf 15 lip balm works wonders, too) & would definitely buy it again.

I tried using it on my bare lips but I found that it works better when you apply some sort of moisturizer to your lips first. It smells great and the shine stays but the ingredients of the shining dust itches my lip and that was the worst part of it for me.

I love this chap stick. It works great and it looks great. I am not much of a lipstick person but love a great lipgloss or chapstick. This is my new favorite!!

I use it daily as I have always liked Chap Stick , and the extra shimmer is nice. I did not care for the smell. I just wanted a little color and shimmer. It could have had a bit more color.

I wanted to like this one, but the glitter is too noticeable and the chapstick benefits don't last long enough. It tastes and smells great, but the look is a bit too tween-girl for me.

I use this instead of lipstick when I want a bit of color and shine. It's also good for a beachy look. However, since it doesn't contain a sunscreen, you have to remember to apply something else first.

It has a nice shimmer but no color. It moisturizes the lips too.

It's on OK product. Does not add any 'color' (not even a blush of color as advertised) and the shimmer is hard to see. If you use on good lips, they will stay good. If your lips are chapped, sooth them with something else first and then use this to maintain. This is the better color/flavor.

I took a chance on this lipbalm despite reading many negative reviews about it elsewhere. It seems that many people are dissatisfied with the quality of the shimmer effect. I am a shimmer lover I decided to give it a try. I LOVE IT! I am NOT a fan of Chapstick to begin with (because their products tend to be so waxy & thick), so I was really surprised to like this product so much. It doesn't feel waxy, thick or stiff, but goes on smooth & creamy & keeps my lips very well moisturized & chap-free. It contains no sunscreen, so I'm guessing that's the reason it's non-drying. Other lipbalms containing SPF always dry out my lips, which is counterproductive to their purpose & very frustrating. So I don't recommend this balm with sun exposure unless you put on other sunscreen first. The shimmer is very fine & very subtle when I apply it to my lips. Some people have reported that they don't like the gritty texture but I don't have that experience at all. This formula is completely smooth. I don't have dark lips, so the shimmer doesn't show up on me as much as it would on maybe someone with deeper skin tone or lip color. So to me the intensity of the shimmer is perfect, super-subtle, almost invisible. I love the delicious fruity scent of this lipbalm as well as its slightly fruity flavor. It doesn't taste or smell synthetic at all. Chapstick thought of everything when they made this product! It's reasonably inexpensive & comes in the traditional lipbalm packaging with the swivel at the bottom of the tube. The shimmery pink label makes it easy to spot when I'm looking for it on the shelf. With its many positive aspects, my favorite thing about this balm is that it just does NOT dry out my lips at all, even after it has faded away. That's a winner. I would definitely buy this again & also try the other tropical flavor as well when I find it.
