This is a very very very gentle cleanser that it's almost like a lotion. I would recommend this product for those with dry skin or sensitive skin. I have combination skin with oily T-zone and dry/normal cheeks. I was tired of products drying out my cheeks and making it feel tight after I washed, so I decided to give this product a whirl. While it didn't dry out my cheeks I also felt that it wasn't really cleaning my face. It's not a harsh cleanser and it was the best product to use when I had a skin allergy but not for daily use with my type of skin. I gave it 4 stars because it is gentle and mild.

I've used this cleanser for several years. I use as little water on my dry skin as possible, so I appreciate being able to use this like cold cream. It wipes off 99% of my makeup - sometimes I have to use a little warm water to get all my mascara off if I've put a lot on that day, but the Neutrogena gets everything else.

I don't wear much makeup and this one does a good job. First, I used it as a rinse-off. It's like I put lotion on my face and it didn't clean anything. Ok, I give it another chance. I use it as a makeup cleanser on dry face, then wipe it off with tissue and rise with lukewarm water. (I use it twice when I feel it has residual sunscreen on my face). It is the softest cleanser for me so far (I have combo dry + sensitive skin)

I have sensitive skin and this is a great product. I tested it out and it has by far been one of the better facial cleansers I have used. Also, for the price, it's unbeatable.

Hypo-Allergenic? NOT! After seeing the "fragrance-free, dermatologist-recommended, hypo-allergenic, non-comedogenic" label on this product, I bought it, thinking it would be perfect for my extra sensitive skin. I used it before I went to sleep, and thought it worked well enough. To my horror, I woke up the next morning, face swollen and covered in itchy red blotches. HIVES! One use of this product causes a serious allergic reaction. Do NOT waste your money on this if you want to risk having your face itchy, swollen, bumpy, and red for three days. Neutrogena, you'll be hearing from me for FALSE LABELING on your products!

I have patchy, oily skin. I had blackheads all over my nose. I LOVE this cleanser. Oily skin does need moisturizer added to it, so it stops over producing its own oils. Don't expect too much from your cleanser - it's not going to magically provide everything you need for your skin. I also use a very effective non-chemical exfoliant after I cleanse. With this cleanser and Dr. Eckstein's AHA Biofruit Liposomen I've never had more beautiful skin than I do at 41. I wish I'd known this at 21.

I think this is an amazing cleanser! I have extremely sensitive, combo skin, very acne prone. Right now my skin is extra oily because it's summer in the south. This cleanser makes my skin glow after I use it, instead of red like from other cleansers. It has NOT caused any clogged pores. I think it does a good job of removing makeup, but you have to cleanse a little extra around the eyes. I definitely feel the moisture it adds in, but it does not feel greasy to me; it makes my skin comfortable and refreshed. LOVE IT!!!

Wet face and hands with lukewarm water. Massage Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser onto skin with a circular motion. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft towel. May be used as a tissue off cleanser.
