The oil gets in my eyes and blurs my vision and I have to wipe my eyes with tissues and then wash them. The other Almay makeup remover pads (the recommended for contacts ones) are way better.

I only use it at night so that I do not have to put makeup on after using this. I gave it only four stars because it is pretty oily.

Yeah, they are oily, but all you need to do is wash away the residue (or even just wipe it away with a tissue). And if you hate that, try their non-oily version. Oh, and I've never had a problem with any kind of skin irritation.

Just make sure to use these before you wash the rest of your face, that way you can wash away the excess oil left over. Yes, they are oily, how else would you clean off waterproof mascara? These eye makeup remover ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 8/28/07 These eye makeup remover pads really work great to remove stubborn eyeliner & mascara. It is 100% true, you will get you eye area very oily, however I have found that simple soap and a washcloth will remove the residue without problems. You may hate the feel of the oil and blurry vision, but bear in mind it wont stay that way and you will have removed all traces of your stubborn eye makeup without drying out your eye area. This is a keeper for me.

I wear waterproof mascara ... by Lucille M in Toms River, NJ on 8/8/07 I wear waterproof mascara and this is the only product that will remove it. I have been using them for years and years. I am 50 years old and have NOT ONE wrinkle around my eyes! I believe these pads are part of the reason. After I remove my eye makeup with a pad I gently wipe the excess oil off with a tissue. Sometimes I'll use the non-oily pads after the moisturizing pads to remove the excess oil. I love them, have tried other brands but Almay is the best by far. Thank you for keeping me looking like 40 instead of 50!

I actually really like ... by Amber in Undisclosed on 7/27/07 I actually really like these eye makeup remover pads. The oil doesn't bother me because I don't use the product on my entire face, just my eyes. I usually get that crows feet cracked look after trying to remove my daily eyeliner and mascara. Not with these! Plus, the oily effect rinses clean after I wash my face with my usual cleanser. No residue. And no one can complain about the fact that you get 80 pads! Definately recommended.

i would actually give it ... by karen in Undisclosed on 7/25/07 i would actually give it 0 stars. i've used two pads. the first one was horrible, wayyy to oily, and it left me feeling dirty and greasy. then i thought, maybe i was overreacting, so i tried it a second time. not only did it leave my eye just as greasy and horrible but my eye got this weird redness and burning sensation. I'm throwing it away, ladies, dont buy this horrible product, its a rip-off.

For the delicate eye area, a moist pad is best. The last thing you want is to cause any friction in this eye area. If you wash your face after you remove your eye makeup, you will not even notice the product.

I tried Almay's non-oily version for a little while last year when I couldn't find this one, but I hated the other one because I had to tug at my skin too much to get the makeup off! I have gotten plenty of comments on how young I look--and I know this product has been a major contributor to the lack of wrinkles around my eyes (I'm 58). I also use this to remove some of the longer-lasting lipsticks when remnants remain at the end of the day.

These honestly feel as though someone took a cotton pad, dipped it in olive oil, then put it in a container and sold it as eye makeup remover. I broke out like crazy, and I don't even have very bad skin. This product may be good for older people who like oil, but try to find another product!

The only WORKING makeup ... by Elizabeth in Port Chester, NY on 5/23/07 The only WORKING makeup remover which actually removes mascara without a hassle. All other types, even Almay's non-oily product, don't remove anything, they just smudge it around. Also, in spite of its name, this remover is not so awfully oily, just right to dissolve the makeup without major workout on the eyelid.

I've been using these for ... by anne in New York, NY on 5/13/07 I've been using these for years and years in order to remove my waterproof mascara (regular mascara does not work for me). I love these, even if they ARE oily (and I'm 38 with no wrinkles, so maybe the oiliness of this product has helped?). I wash my entire face after I use these, so oil residue has never been a problem. I'll probably use these forever.

This is the worst makeup ... by stephanie in Undisclosed on 4/6/07 This is the worst makeup remover I have ever used! It is so oily, it not only leaves oil all over your eyes, but on your hands as well. It stings my eyes and leaves my vision blurry, and I'm left trying to remove the makeup remover in the end. Such a hassle, not worth it!
