I've tried other types of shampoos for psoraisis and this is the one that really gives you results. EXCELLENT!

I've had dry scalp for the past 22+ years. It's an embarrassing thing to always have to brush off my shoulders. I have exzema at the base of my skull which exacerbates the flaking and itching that I constantly feel. I read if you do not ever use shampoo or conditioner but massage your scalp for several minutes in the shower each day then that would reduce the flaking. I tried that for a few months and it helped quite a bit but didn't totally eliminate the flaking. The idea being that shampoos and conditioners get rid of the natural oils and emollients in your hair and scalp. I've only been using this product for 2 days and the flaking is gone. My scalp also used itch quite a bit as well. The itching isn't completely gone yet but that might be because I've only been using the product less than a week. The itching has been greatly reduced though. You don't have to use that much of it because it lathers up so well. This product lives up to it's billing. It's the only thing that's worked thus far on getting rid of my dry scalp. It's worth every penny!!!!

Everyone hair type is different... this worked for me and my dandruff is BAD and had been for years... now I do not have any. Its amazing

I despise it, but I have always had issues with thick, oily dandruff no matter how often I wash my hair. I have used Head and Shoulders, Pert Plus, T-Gel, every tea tree oil shampoo on the market (Paul Mitchell, L'Occitane, etc.) and more. Nizoral has worked the quickest and best out of all of them (one shampooing with Nizoral and I had no more itchy scalp and virtually no dandruff- a miracle). It is less drying than T-Gel, my other go-to shampoo, and smells better by far. Alternating this with T-Gel gives me the best of both worlds (I shampoo my hair daily) and keeps away the itching and dandruff. It is expensive, but worth it for solving such an embarassing problem.

ive tried everything...also have tried this in this version and 2 percent countless different times for the amount of time that is recommended, still have bad flakes. i have yet to find something that works, and i have been through just about everything.

I loved the prescription version years ago, but this doesn't perform nearly as well and is almost as expensive. It's also a touch harsh on the scalp. The fragrance they use to cover the medicinal smell is pleasant, but my scalp is still flaky so I will not repurchase.

I have used this product once or twice a week for many years. It is the ONLY product that keeps the dandruff away. It also does not damage my hair in any way. I plan to be a Nizoral AD customer for many, many years to come.

This is the first review I've EVER written. I feel so strongly about Nizoral that I finally had to get off my behind and contribute a review. I suffered from flakes since I was 14 (I'm 41 now). These were scaly flakes on my scalp which would leave a red patch on my scalp when I scratched them off, and though I didn't have them 24/7 they would definitely flare up every few days. I tried everything out there, short of seeing a doctor. I even tried rubbing olive oil in my scalp. It just left my hair greasy. I finally settled on Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp, not necessarily because it made the flakes disappear, but because it reduced the occurence a little and I liked how my hair felt after. A year ago I discovered Nizoral through Drugstore and decided to give it a try. I believe the instructions were to use it every 3-4 days for 6-8 weeks, but in less than 2 weeks all of my scaling and flaking disappeared! Now I use it only once a week and I haven't had a flare up in months. I don't even leave it in for 5 minutes. I just lather up my hair, clean the rest of myself and then rinse my hair in the end. Sure it leaves your hair a little dry, but I just quickly condition my hair afterward and everything's fine. The rest of the week I still use H&S, but that's more out of habit than anything else. I have to say that this is a MIRACLE product, and that if you've suffered long enough, you should at least give Nizoral a try. At the worst you're $10-15 poorer and you've wasted a few minutes a week for a few weeks. But, if it works for you, the feeling of not having to worry about dandruff again is soooo liberating. Not only that, but my first bottle has lasted for months!

Tinea Versicolor is a fairly common type of rash, and one that can be really difficult to cure. I have had this stupid rash on my chest and the back of my neck for months, and the treatments recommended by my doctor had not helped at all (Selsun shampoo and lamisil cream). After doing some of my own research on other treatments for tinea versicolor, I learned that ketoconazole (the main ingredient in this shampoo) is one recommended treatment. So, I got this shampoo and used it as a sort of body wash. I was amazed to realize tonight that my previously scaly, leathery, discolored skin is totally back to normal! I'm so, so, so happy. It's been about 3-4 weeks since I started using it in the shower. I have been lathering it on the affected areas of my skin every other day or so and letting it sit for a few minutes and then rinsing it off. The first few times I used it, I also lathered my hair and most of my skin with it, just in case. Also, Nizoral smells decently (not sulfery like Selsun) and does actually leave my hair clean and manageable. I don't have dandruff so I can't comment on that.
