Indications

Controls the flaking, scaling, and itching associated with dandruff.

Directions

Adults and children over 12 years of age: wet hair thoroughly apply shampoo, generously lather, rinse thoroughly. Repeat. use every 3-4 days for up to 8 weeks if needed, or as directed by a doctor. Then use only as needed to control dandruff. Children under 12 years of age: Ask a doctor. Storage:  Store between 35 degrees and 86 degrees F (2 degrees and 30 degrees C).  Protect from light.  Protect from freezing.

GOOD PRODUCT by Rell in Bx on 8/19/08 Hair Type: Combination this is a good product it cleared my dandruff in one day i heard its also good for hair thinning which is also good the only bad thing about it is it left my hair kinda dry so if u use it buy a conditioner or a hair lotion of some sort

The water here is extremely harsh with clorine/chemicals that wreck havoc on both my skin and my hair. I was mortified to have to deal with unsightly flakes on a daily basis. I thank the other reviewers who raved about this product - within 3 shampoos, all of my flakes were gone!!! Talk about a blessing! The price is small cost for the confidence I feel when taking off my cover/helmet. :) I'm a customer for life.

I read in a magazine that this lowers the testosterone level on your scalp, which in turn helps with hair loss. I found it to be true, because after the birth of my 3rd child, I lost almost all of my hair especially on the top of my head. Washing with this 3 times a week at the advice of my local dermatologist helped me tremendously. He recommended it for my hair loss problem. It was not a cure all, but it helped ALOT. Now I use it for itchy, scaly scalp once a week and it gets the job done. It has been a lifesaver for me!!!

I tried so many others, including coal tar products which made a difference but nothing like this. After a couple uses the difference was obvious, and now my scalp is in great condition. I use the shampoo about once every other week now.

Evidently it solves the problem of certain bacteria on the skin in teenagers. I was skeptical - a dandruff product for breakouts? She assured me it was so - and she was right.

One of the best products ... by Ofelia in Astoria, NY on 5/29/08 One of the best products there is, whether your scalp situation is mild or severe. It costs a lot but it's effective. And it doesn't smell the best but that's nothing compared to how well this shampoo works. I have also used the harder to find Nizoral 2% formula (the drugstore strength is 1% & costs less than the 2% formula). I don't use this shampoo regularly but this product is A+ all the way.

I'm African American and ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 5/14/08 I'm African American and wash my hair weekly, but because of my dandruff I was washing it every 4 of 5 days. I suffered from dry, flaking scalp for years. It was really embarrassing for friends to come by and pick and pull flakes out of hair. Gross! I finally found out about Nizoral and it worked like a miracle. The itching and flakes haven't come back since I first used this product.

For years I have suffered with severe scalp problems; itching, flaking, scales, bleeding, etc. It was uncomfortable, gross and embarrassing to the point where most days I couldn't wear black. I tried all of the usual dandruff shampoos as well as many natural products and tricks. Nothing worked for me until Nizoral. After two shampoos I noticed the difference and my scalp was 100% normal after 2 weeks. For the first month I used it twice a week and now I use it just once a week. It made my hair's texture feel different for the first month, but not anymore. I guess my hair needed to get used to it. I can now wear anything and go out with confidence without having to check for flakes every 5 minutes! I highly recommend you try this shampoo.

I have suffered with dry ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/13/08 I have suffered with dry scalp, crusty spots on my scalp, flakes, ugh, you get the idea. I hardly ever wear black tops because I am afraid of wiping off my clothes. Gross. I am 33 years old, have very curly hair that I get professionally straightened. I was worried this would dry out my hair but so far so good. And the other reviewers were right, I see a difference in just two shampoos, I am so psyched. I only hope it doesn't take a toll on my hair. I followed up with Nature's Gate tea tree conditioner which worked well. I will definitely buy this again, it is pricey but for me it's been the only thing that actually worked and didn't STINK.

I used Nizoral last year. ... by Alpha in Undisclosed on 4/7/08 I used Nizoral last year. It really works great and I recommend it. It's just that it's not friendly on my budget. And my straightened hair gradually came to its natural wave just by using it for 3 months. Maybe Nizoral is not recommended for treated hair. But overall it is still satisfactory.

I can wear black again! ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 3/18/08 I can wear black again! Without worry I have been using about a month now and this has tremendously helped my dry scalp. I have a very small area near the front which it still a little irritated but otherwise this is the first product I have had such great results with. Will definitely buy again.

My doctor recommended ... by Karin in Bartlett, IL on 2/28/08 My doctor recommended this to me to treat "winter dry scalp" and folliculitis, along with some Naproxen for the inflammation from the folliculitis. I am amazed at how quickly the Nizoral has worked - after just a couple shampoos my scalp is less itchy and my hairline is much nicer looking - I never really knew I had a problem since it was such a mild case but WOW the difference this shampoo has made. I was leery because I have color treated hair (color and highlights) and was worried my hair would be dry, crunchy, and the color stripped - but it looks BETTER now than it did before. I can't recommend this enough!

Some studies show that ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 2/10/08 Some studies show that the active ingredient in Nizoral helps men's hair loss. Not sure how well that works but I use it anyway. My hair feels good and it is a good overall shampoo so if it's also helping hair loss then great.
