wasted money by Kimmer in Staten Island, NY on 8/23/08 Pros: Easy to Use Cons: Poor Battery Life, Unreliable Best Uses: Adults Bottom Line: not recommended Battery started to die after about 2 weeks and the beeping was annoying at 6:00 am. I feel like I wasted my time and money.

This is a great product - ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 1/21/08 This is a great product - I'm still half asleep when I take my temperature so it really helps that I just follow the beeping to know when it's done or if it's not reading my temperature properly. The memory storage allows me to wait till evening to chart my temperature. A really fantastic product!

I have had this less than ... by melissa in Harriman, NY on 1/7/08 I have had this less than two months and beginning about a month ago the numbers would be faint or distorted when it powered on. I immediately thought there must be something wrong with the battery so, I read the instructions to determine what I needed to buy and the instructions tell me "The battery will last for about three years with normal use or approximately 300 hours". After reading that I decided that it must be something else and the battery was fine. Then, the other morning upon waking I turned it on and instead of the distorted numbers I got a blinking battery icon - then it turned off! I was completely unprepared. This was the first time I saw the blinking battery icon to signify a low battery. I didn't have any extra alkaline LR41 batteries because the instructions reassured me that it would last around 300 hours. (not the 45 minutes it's been!) If you're going to buy this add a 10 pack of batteries at the checkout so that you are prepared.

In general, I like how ... by Mary in Santa Monica, CA on 8/30/07 In general, I like how this works, but it quit on me after just a week of use. There's no display indicating that the battery is running out, just a weird faint drone when I try to turn it on.

I really like this ... by Jessica in Astoria, NY on 7/8/07 I really like this thermometer. I can reach over and grab it without really moving so I don't disturb my waking temp (not worried like when it's a glass one) and the beeps help me know if I'm holding it correctly in my mouth and I know for a fact when it's done. Plus, there is the back light which is really nice and also the fact that if you forget to write it down it stores the last temp, so that's really helpful. All around, a great digital basal thermometer.

This thermometer was ... by Kristy in Scotts Mills, OR on 4/10/07 This thermometer was absolutely inaccurate. I would re-temp myself a couple times and each reading was different. It takes way to long to read the temperature as well. I will not buy this brand again.

I have been using this ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 3/27/07 I have been using this for almost a month now and really like it. The beeps are annoying at first, but then you get used to them. The temperature indicator is nice too, especially if you are taking it 1st thing in the morning in darkness. After it gives you the beeps telling you its done, pressing the button will light up the display in a green/blue light, so reading the temperature is easy. I also like the plastic storage case that comes with it. Nice product, I will continue to use it.

It's easy to use, and comes with a nice cover. Makes it easy to take my Basal Body Temperature in the morning without turning on my lamp.

The beeps could be a little more quiet, but after just a few mornings, my husband slept right through them. Honestly, I've fallen back asleep once or twice during the beeping! The lit screen and the memory for the last temperature taken are the best features.

This is a great product. ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 1/16/07 This is a great product. I've used the BD thermometers for a year to take my temperature using FAM. I recently tried to replace it with two other digital thermometers (because the beeps *are* a bit annoying), but never got good temperature readings with them. I ended up going back to the BD thermometer, because the beeps are worth the quality.

Also, if you just move it slightly while taking your temperature, it seems like it has to start all over again. I would not buy this product.

Overall, great product. I ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 12/15/06 Overall, great product. I like the memory function, the lighted display is nice, the beeps aren't annoying to me or my husband. My big complaint is that when I tried to replace the battery, one of the tabs on the battery cover broke off, so the battery cover won't stay on. I have it taped on, but this is not a great solution, and I need to buy a new one. So... overall it's good, although it could be a little sturdier.

I like certain features ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 12/9/06 I like certain features about it: it lights up, which is a real plus at 5 or 6 a.m., and it has memory so that you can check your temp result later. The beeps that recur during temping are annoying to the partner/husband. Mine was satisfactory overall, but not very sturdy: the metal tip started to break off (just from normal use-oral temping) after about a year and a half (and I am very careful with my things).
