I bought this item years ago (about 4) and with good care (washing and drying after each use) this item will not need to be replaced for quite some time. I work in the Middle East and wear sandals in the desert a lot - so I have finally needed to replace both this and the Classic Buffer. It may seem expensive, but when I estimate the cost of replacing the more throwaway versions every other month or so, it is really quite a bargain.

I purchased this buffer after reading the good reviews. My feet present a problem that has to be worked on every day. Hard skin comes over a period of 24 hrs. This tool works better than anything I have tried. It is absolutely unbelieveably good at removing the hardened skin on my heels and sides of big toes. This really works well. I will never be without it.

I take terrible care of my feet and have to get pedicures regularly to keep my heels and toes looking good. A friend recommended the Diamancel file to me and said she hadn't gotten a pedicure in the eight months since she purchased the file. Although a little pricey and very too-good-to-be-true, I trusted my friend and purchased the file. I used it for the first time this morning and in the three minutes it took me to clean up my heels and toes, I was amazed at the results! My feet are softer than when I leave the nail salon! I would definitely recommend this product and I've emailed all of my girlfriends about it too!

Even the most calloused feet are smooth after one or two sessions with this file.

I never knew that I could have baby soft feet. Living in Arizona and being in sandals and flip flops year 'round has left my feet cracked, dry, and scaly. Bi-monthly pedicures with their callous remover still didn't get rid of the cracks. I opened the package and got to work, and in ten minutes the deep cracks on the bottom of my heels were gone! I couldn't believe it! I had soft smooth skin now. After cleaning up the mess (I used it dry over the tub) I used some lotion, and I couldn't believe it. I could feel how it felt to walk over carpet and tile, I could feel my feet slide smoothly over the sheets getting into bed. I was rubbing my feet together in bed that night in wonder! My husband wanted to know if I got a foot transplant! I am a convert!

I love this thing! As some on this site have noted, it works great on rough and calloused skin. Before using #11, I often envied those with smooth, baby-soft feet. But no more. I've only used it for two days, and my feet are almost as soft as my one-year old's. I would definitely say it's worth the money. One thing is for sure, it works. Just don't forget to clean it after every use.

I really think that it is overhyped and not worth the price. I bought one for 20% off and still felt it was not worth the money because it wears away. If it stayed good as new, it would be worth it IMO, but it didn't. I think this company should have a warrenty for how much this thing costs, but they don't. Until they do, I wouldn't recommend it.

This Buffer is no better than the one I buy at the CVVS (Dr. Scholl's); actually it's worse. I bought it based on the reviews, but this file is a waste of your money.

I am so glad that I read the reviews and splurged on this buffer. It is truly incredible! My feet grow calluses like it's nobody's business. In order to keep them a few inches shy of rock hard, I have had to use a combination "cheese grater"/sander at least 5 days a week, which can be quite tiresome. The Diamancel did the work of 5 days in one sitting -- and then some. My feet are actually semi-soft and feel somewhat normal, for a change. It's absolutely incredible! I highly, highly recommend that you spend the money on this. You will not regret it!

This is a great buffer. It is definitely expensive, but worth every penny!

Expensive, but worth every penny. I love that this takes care of the dead skin with minimal effort -- you simply rub the buffer back and forth lightly against the trouble spots the dry skin and calluses come off in a fine powder, without having to saw at your feet.

My girlfriend loves this thing. It's pretty amazing! It works best on DRY feet.

This product rocks!!!! It removed my calluses and the dry skin on my heels with ease. The key here is to wash it after every use; if you wash the file after every use, it will work just like it's supposed to.

I have always had rough feet and have tried all sorts of buffers. This is the best I have ever tried; I don't feel so self-conscious about wearing sandals anymore.

I feel this is a waste of money. After 2 uses, the roughness on the tool surface is gone and it does nothing to remove the dry skin on my heels. The cheap sandpaper-grit red plastic file from Sally's Beauty Supply works way better than this.
