I purchased this home waxing kit, in hopes to be able to go to Puerto Rico in peace without having to worry about shaving...I followed all the directions,I was not injured during the process (I experienced normal waxing pains) My Suprise came after... and I was not pleased at all...not only did it NOT remove my hair (which granted is thin) it decided to remove my SKIN instead...I had to go to PR looking like I had Leprosy...I still have the scars...I'm hoping coco butter will help...

I LOVE this wax. I use it on my brows, upper lip, and chin. I've tried other hard waxes, and oddly enough they work well on coarser hairs (i.e. brows) but not on really fine hairs (i.e. lip). This stuff is fast, effective, and has never irritated my skin -- unlike some other products that ripped my skin right off! It *is* pricey, and for my brows I now use Depileve hard waxes. But there is nothing like it for the upper lip -- and if you're trying this product instead of getting salon waxes, it'll pay for itself several times over. I wax roughly every other week, and got more than a year's use out of one kit.

No need to go to the spa and spend a fortune. This product is the easiest at home hair removal to ever be sold and ive tried them all. You can use this on any body area and i removes hair effortlessly. STOP going to the salon and try this product!!

My doctor has told me that hard waxes are better for your skin than the wax used at beauty salons. This product is easier to use and I have been using it for 3 years.

The packaging is very pretty, the cup is a cool idea, but the wax itself just doesn't work very well. It doesn't irritate skin. The sticks it comes with are reusable, but are very hard to clean (near impossible)

This is a terrible product. Not only is it extremely difficult to heat up ( it cannot be put in the microwave), once you put it on, it is almost impossible to get off. I used this on my bikini area mostly. (It is mediocre on the face) It breaks off in pieces and you basically have to scrape it off. All of this amounts to a big, gooey, painful mess. Don't bother buying this. I am a veteran waxer too -- so I know my stuff here. Bliss should come up with a much much better product for waxing!

I didn't get any bumps from this product- a definite plus. However, it didn't get all the hair out. On my legs it took multiple applications in one area just to get all the hair. On my face this wasn't such a problem, possibly because removing all the hair in one go isn't such a good idea. I think this is a good product for facial waxing, but not body waxing.

I used Poetic Waxing today for my first try at a DIY bikini wax. Wow, was I impressed! While it did take a long time to warm on the stove and was a little messy, it was very pleasant smelling and easy to use. The color made it really easy to see where it was being applied. Removal was nearly painless (there were, admittedly, a couple of spots that hurt), and it grabbed nearly every hair. It was so nice to do a waxing on my own time and in the privacy of my own home. Will definitely buy again, highly recommended!

This IS the best wax I have ever found and I have been doing this at home a long time. To the person who said it breaks off every 1" or so, that means you didn't have it at the correct temperature. If you melt it to the correct consistency, the entire strip will pull off at once. Takes practice to get it right - not too runny, but not too cold/hard either. Once you get that figured out - it is the best! Shrink wraps and grabs every hair. I can get most places w/one pass. I think it would work great for Brazilian bikini - but I'm trying to imagine how to do that on yourself at home. I guess I'm just not acrobatic enough! LOL

I have tried several Brazilian type at home wax kits and this, by far, is THE BEST! This wax grabs hair like no other with a quick and (mostly) painless release... as long as you put enough of the pre-wax lotion on beforehand. Cotton balls seem to work the best for application of the pre- treatments so that you don't get too much of either on. If you warm the wax up so that it's the consistency of warm honey (a little more runny than usual) and let it cool for a minute or two it's easier to handle and will stay warm until you're done (at least for a Brazilian wax). I haven't had any of the problems some other reviewers have had as long as you follow the directions included in the box. The only con I have is that it is not microwaveable so it definitely takes longer to heat it up than any other kit and you can't use it say in a dorm room... but the results alone are worth it
