I was so excited to find this shampoo and thought it would be great, but I really am not a fan. I too got the white creamy substance under my nails when lathered with this shampoo. Plus, it appeared to make my hair oily near the roots and quite dry at the ends. I think it was the wrong formula for me - I have an oily scalp with long wavy hair.

We use this shampoo daily.It doesn't take out your natural oils,and is safe ! It's organic and wonderful. My husband had very oily hair,& washed it sometimes twice a day.Since we started using organic (Avalon)he can now rest asured NO oily residue,& only needs to wash every other day now. Thanks what a great product.We h-i-g-h-l-y recommend this shampoo to everyone.

The lavender smell was MUCH to strong and made my hair (which is normally soft) feel like straw.

This shampoo is the worst shampoo I've ever used. I find even Suave to be better than this. I've been using it every other day for two months. Even though the first time I used it, my hair was a tangled mess, I kept using it because of the wonderful smell. Unfortunately, my hair kept breaking because it became so dull and brittle. Today I switched to pantene and there is a HUGE difference in my hair. Yeah, I want to go organic, but I don't want to go bald! DO NOT BUY THIS.

I found that this product, along with the conditioner just didn't work for my fine hair. [...] I've been using it for about 3 weeks and it leaves my fine hair a tangled mess. Smells great, but I'm giving it to my husband and looking for something else.

I have been using this brand shampoo for a while now (maybe 2 years), and only recently have I discovered something odd while I was shampooing. I still don't know if this is normal for all shampoos, but I doubt it. While I lather my hair with this particular shampoo, when I scratch my hair I get all this white creaminess in my nails, as if I applied cream on my scalp. It is almost solidified in my nails and I need to wash them out directly with a full force of shower stream. I wonder if it is because my product is expired, which shouldn't be since I ordered it here and used it right away.

It smells SO very good, but it just did not work for my hair. I have very fine hair that I have to wash every day. The shampoo alone made my hair oily. Using the conditioner as well only made it worse. I gave it a couple of weeks hoping my hair would get used to it, but it just didn't work. I'm super sad about this because the shampoo and conditioner smell amazing and the price is great.

It has a wonderful lavender scent but it did not work well for my hair. It made my hair dull and frizzy.

Beautiful smelling and wonderful for long thick curly hair - doesn't strip.

I wish I could give this product (and the conditioner) more stars! It's a great shampoo that smells fabulous (if you like lavender) and makes my hair clean. It takes a little more shampoo to create a lather, but that is because it's a natural shampoo that doens't have those chemical foaming agents. You have to use just a tad more and mix with a little more water to lather up --- but it's ok; I don't need the extra cancer-causing chemicals of the mass marketed shampoos. Also, I find my hair stays clean longer so in turn, I only need to shampoo my hair a few times a week as opposed to everyday! This is a plus. My hair stays clean and smells clean for about 2-3 days. The only drawback is the higher price. But the shine, smell, cleansing ability and compliments I get on my hair are well worth it. Try this --- you won't be sorry. It's the greatest.
