Pros: Strong Hold
Cons: Heavy
Best Uses: Daily Use
Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented
Hair Type: Dry
I've tried probably 10-15 different hair creams. I tend to go for the semi-short semi-messy looking style, a little spikey and kinda erradic. So far this is the only product that doesn't make my hair shiney, doesn't leave residue, and doesn't dry crunchy. It leaves your hair with a somewhat natural feel, although it is a tad bit sticky. If you're a fan of the crunchy look, you won't like this. If you want a more natural look, you'll love it. I've seen a few reviews saying it doesn't spready easy or clumps... YOU'RE PUTTING IT IN WRONG! You can't put this in like normal gel. Follow these directions for perfect application: 1. Wash hair. 2. Let hair dry, and apply IMMEDIATELY after hair dries - don't let your natural oils rebuild. This is a very small window of about 5 minutes. 3. For short hair scoop a ball with the diameter of a nickel, more for more hair. 4. Rub FAST between your hands (make sure they're clean and water/lotion free), generating heat to the product and making it pliable. 5. Lightly run hands over hair, texturizing by mostly applying to the tips of your hair and letting natural groupings form. no need to apply to the roots - applying to the outside half of your hair will hold perfectly. 6. Periodically rub hands together to reapply product. If you follow these steps you'll see no white clumps, unevenness and you'll have a better hold overall.

I bought this after reading the reviews and have to say I was very disappointed. Even using just a little bit it left my hair very greasy feeling and looking and didn't add any of the texture or body promised. I have very fine, short hair. I used this product once and tossed it in a drawer. Mighty expensive "trial" I might add!! Why don't these companies, seriously, produce "sample packs" - I can't tell you how many hair products I try and toss because they don't perform as advertised!

I love this product. Reason being because, well for me, it last long! Little goes a long way. This one has some hold and control and adds a little body to my hair.

The best styling product for my long, thick, heavy, straight asian hair. Perfect for smoothing out flyaways, keeping my hair out of my eyes and adding a little life to the layered ends....I first discovered this stuff through my husband and have not looked back!!

I use American Crew Fiber along with pomade or water wax for styling. I have fine, limp Asian hair, and Fiber has a pliable, long-lasting hold. It is perfect for that textured look with no shine. Also, it works best on short hair - when my hair gets longer I switch to pomade because the added volume from Fiber can make it look 'poofy'. The consistency is that of a pasty cream, which takes longer to work with than other styling products. I usually scoop out a small amount, rub it between my hands in a circular motion until it becomes sticky, and then dab it evenly around damp hair. Once applied run your fingers through your hair to get it evenly distributed (may need a little water). It's the best product I've found for the price, and one container lasts me a few months.

I've yet to find a hair styling product that works better on my hair. Anyone with fine hair, and/or thinning hair will find this product as a god sent. To get the best thickening effect, ensure your hair is as dry as possible, rub a small amount onto the tips of your fingers and apply throughout the top. Not only will your hair be styled, but it will appear much thicker than before. Try it!

This product works better if used on shorter than medium-length hair. A good haircut is essential for this product to work properly. It contains good quality ingredients if that makes a difference. But as long as you know how to maneuver your hair to obtain the desired effect and use "just" the right amount, this pomade works very well. Its good ingredients and pleasant aroma are a plus over cheaper versions that can cost significantly less.

I tried this product out just to see what it was like a couple of years ago, and still have yet to find a better product for my hair. For typical Asian male hair (fine, straight), this is a great product. I've found that the key is to apply to very slightly damp hair - too much moisture, and it doesn't hold that well. Too dry, and it will clump. You can also moisten your hands a little before hand, then rub it in your hands to emulsify it (as people have suggested before). When used this way, it has great hold, doesn't clump, and has no visible shine (a good natural look). I highly recommend for those of you with fine, straight hair.

Didn't work well with my hair. It didn't hold my hair in place and made it quite sticky. It doesn't spread easily in my hair, and tends to clump. Not impressed.

People, if pomade is what you usually use then of course this product will not be right for you. If you have fine, limp hair and need something really stiff yet pliable to work with, then this stuff is perfect for you. I have fine, limp, wavy hair and yet with just a tiny amount of this stuff I can make it do anything. I've never found a product that was as good as this one. It has all the hold of spiking glue plus the pliability of a molding creme. Plus, it smells wonderful. If you need a serious hold, this is your stuff. The key to making work perfect is to *rub it in your hands* for a few seconds before applying it. The creme will emulsify and become much easier to work with.

I'm an Asian with pretty typical straight hair. This is the best product I've used. Much better than any mousse or gel I've tried in the past, which commonly leave my hair really hard and/or with gross residue. This product produces absolutely no residue and leaves my hair soft and perfectly in place. Great product!

I've tried all kinds of hair products...gels, mousses, and pomades. This is by far the best product I have ever tried. I have very straight hair and this stuff allowed me to sculpt my hair the way I wanted too. I'm dead serious when I say that girls are always complimenting me on my hair now. It's not too greasy and doesn't leave your hair super stiff either. The only downer is that's very expensive. But, a small container will last you a long time. I use it everyday and it lasts me almost two months. Good stuff.

I tried American Crew's Fiber since I couldn't find the Pomade at the store where I usually shop. The Fiber worked okay for my hairstyle for hold, but it is really thick and I had to use it VERY sparingly. Even less is needed than if you use pomade like I usually do. My hair came out feeling stiff and dry with this product. If I had to choose using Fiber or going without for a day, I'd go without until I picked up another container of AC's Pomade.
