Pros: Feels better for him, more sensation for both of you (make sure you put PLENTY of lubrication on the inside, especially if he is larger) As a woman, you can put it in up to 8 hours ahead if you like. As for me, I asked my partner to put it in the first time as part of foreplay- challenging, but fun. (lots of giggles here) It is easy once you get the hang of it. It does have a tendancy to make a little noise with friction, but he will LOVE the sensation and the fact that he can feel your warmth. Finally, the external ring, while weird at first, CAN provide a little extra clitoral stimulation... :) The only complaint I have is that these are hard to find in the stores. Go online and buy in bulk.

I want to echo another ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 7/5/07 I want to echo another comment. My husband's large size makes condoms difficult and uncomfortable for him. He was VERY impressed with the feel of this product, we added some extra lubrication for him and he much prefers it to a male condom. It was also more stimulating for me, it didn't "compress" him. It does cost more than a male condom but it's worth it.

Only one good thing about ... by checked in Undisclosed on 1/12/07 Only one good thing about them is that they have the benefits of condoms, inc. disease prevention, without the particular annoyances of male condoms. Unlike male condoms, FCs do NOT dull the pleasure for my partner, and/or actually irritate me physically. (The latex of a "rubber" doesn't glide over my skin, even with loads of lube; it tugs at and chafes me. The FC doesn't cause any discomfort at all, even if the sex gets vigorous and forceful). They don't interrupt the act the way male condoms do -- the woman can put in an FC up to 8 hours before penetration. And they don't force my guy to withdraw as soon as he ejaculates, because they can't slip off as his erection fades ; now he can stay inside me afterwards just as long as we want to enjoy staying connected that way. So, while it's different and takes a little while to get used to (like any new kind of barrier contraceptive), I really *vastly* prefer the female to the male condom.

He has a very large erection, and moves rapidly at times, but I feel very secure with the durability of this product. It's also much better for us...we kept losing condoms (just rolled off) because "large" size regular condoms weren't really large enough for him to wear comfortably.

This product is the only non-latex condom-like thing we can use, and it works great. ALSO, you can simply remove the internal ring before inserting. As long as the guy doesn't go back and forth out of the vagina, we haven't had to hold the outer ring after initial penetration.

The inside ring can cause discomfort during deep thrusts, so we have tried removing it, and have had no bad effects. Of the fifty or so that we have used, we have had some breakage, but I was very careful to withdraw in time. Other than the cost, I would recommend this product.

If intercourse is ever interrupted and erection is lost, you will never have to reach for another condom. Zero pressure for the male to keep an erection; every so often regular condoms slip off because of a fluctuating erection. Female Condoms feel better, polyurethane warms to the body temperature and is also 40% stronger than latex, a superb alternative to SMELLY latex. Do not worry that these cost more than regular male condoms; money is not an issue. Take into consideration that often male condoms may be lost, damaged, or slip off in the process. You might go through 3 different male condoms to get through one sex act; this is not the case with FC.

You may extend the life of the female condom if ejaculation is achieved by foreplay, and then resume having intercourse, this may be repeated as often as you prefer. You might find the condom a bit unusual or ridiculous at first if you've been using male condoms all your life, but you'll totally get over it and forget that it's there. Structurally and size wise, it's like an exaggeration of the male condom.

I've read that the material warms better than latex, and I think I could feel that. We both felt more sensation during intercourse than with traditional latex condoms. I'm not sure I'd rely on these to prevent pregnancy, but that is not my goal. Worth a try.

This product didn't work ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 6/13/05 This product didn't work at all for me. If your boyfriend is large, it will probably get stuck in the female condom, and then when he starts to move, the female condom will be pulled out of you and then pushed back in -- essentially becoming a clumsy version of the male condom. Anyway it got stuck on him and having it forced out and in was very uncomfortable due to the large ring that is supposed to fit inside me. I thought that it would be a new, possibly more fun condom to use, but I was very disappointed. However, they do come with additional lube, which I thought was very thoughtful of the makers. ;)
