So - Here's How It Works! Simply Unzip... the opening at the end of the mat & remove the Zoom Around the Room catnip package.  Caution:  Watch your back; may attract swarms of low-flying kitties. Sprinkle... a bit of the nip inside the mat.  How much?  you ask.  It's totally up to you but why not start out with about 2 Tablespoons for the 1st time.  Crank it up as needed.  Your kitty may decide to watch from the vantage point of your head. Shake it up... baby, to spread the nip.  Now place your totally high-test mat on de' floor & step back, Captain...it's time to Boogie!

All, I can say is wow, I ... by Maureen in Holbrook, MA on 5/26/08 All, I can say is wow, I have never written a review for any products but I had to write one for this. My cat LOVES this toy. I was surprised when I first gave it to her and she rubbed all over it and played with it, but even more surprised that she loves curling up and sleeping on it. I have never seen a cat form such an instant bond with a toy. I would absolutely recommend this product to any cat owner.

One of my cats jumped INTO the drugstore.com box, and the three of them have been taking turns (somewhat grudgingly at times) with the Boogie Mat and the Big Mama's Scratch o'rama. Not one to have a household of disgruntled cats, I am ordering more. These are great!

If your cats are nip-heads--they will love them. The cats love receiving a box in the mail. They attack the mat as it is opened. They do flips on it and play with the tassles. It is well-made and durable. The company is kind and original.

I have no problems with the zipper, and the instructions state to not wash it with the filling inside, The catnip that came in the bag inside is just extra catnip- open the bag, pour a little inside the mat, and the cats love it! Even better than laying on it, the boogie mat serves as part of their favorite game- I move a feather teaser around underneath of the mat, and they dive at it! They are quite picky about their toys, but I will continue to purchase these as they wear out their old ones.

I would give it 0 stars ... by Terri in Staten Island, NY on 8/21/06 I would give it 0 stars if they gave you the choice. 1st... the zipper wouldn't open. The catnip is in there in a plastic bag. 2nd... My cat got sick and threw up on it, so I tossed it into the washer. The filling is in a BALL in the center of the mat now, and totally useless, even as a beddy bye mat. Since the zipper won't open... I cannot even stuff it myself with pollyfill. What a waste of time and money and an AGGRAVATION! Such a shame, because it was so pretty. As someone else said... "buy with caution!"

As 1 reviewer mentioned, ... by licw1 in Murrieta, CA on 7/11/06 As 1 reviewer mentioned, if you have 2 cats buy them each a mat. My 2 cats sat on their mats for about 2 minutes and then couldn't be bothered. I tried adding extra catnip, and they were still unimpressed. Buy with caution.

I'll echo the majority ... by Catherine in Lynnwood, WA on 7/9/06 I'll echo the majority and say that my cat went nuts for the mat. What is especially funny is that I didn't bother to read the instructions, and didn't find the catnip bag. Even closed up, my cat could smell the 'nip and abandoned me as her favorite piece of furniture.

I really don't know how ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 7/6/06 I really don't know how to rate this mat. The evening I get it, my two 6 year-old cats started to fight over it. The next morning, my male cat urinated on it, apparently to mark it as his territory. Warning: if you have two cats, get two mats. I don't know whether to try a second for fear that he will mark both the laundered mat and the new mat as his.
