BEST ON THE MARKET

Pros: Can See Tan Instantly, Creates Even Tan, Natural Tan

Best Uses: Legs

Bottom Line: recommended

No matter how pricey, if I can't see results as product is being applied ("instantly"), there WILL be streaks, even if using a fan to disperse a spray or a smooth, barely damp sponge to apply a cream.

This stuff would be great if the color you put on is the color you would get for 3 or 4 days not 1 use and then wash off. It looks weird to have a dark tan for one evening or one use. Also if you sweat forget it! It runs off and is really gross. Definitely will not buy this again, and I usually like Neutrogena self tanners but this one is 2 thumbs down!

Basically, I live by this stuff. I was a huge tan-oholic until I had problems with skin cancer at 20. Needless to say I never see the sun, I am a blank canvas! I LOVE this product! I have NEVER had a problem with streaks or it being a strange tone. The color is PERFECT, I am a darker shade than my cousin who goes to the beach everyday! My advice is to EXFOLIATE first. I shower then put the lotion on unless I am going swimming or anticipate sweating because the bronzer WILL rub off on your clothes. I don't usually rinse it off because I like the bronzer. It does make your hand kind of orange after awhile so wash them good and fast after applying and after you take a shower you do lose a good amount of color so reapply as often as needed.

I give this product a 5-star rating because it goes on evenly and does not streak. There is a bronzer in the tanning lotion, and this helps give you an instant glow and also shows you where the product is going. You have to leave it on for at least four hours before you see your skin turn a darker color. THEN you can rinse/wash off the bronzer. I usually wake up in the mornings, put the tanner on, let it dry (It only takes less than 5 minutes if you blend it and rub it in), put some shorts and an old t-shirt on and do chores. Then after I do the housework and maybe cook breakfast, I take a shower and wash all the bronzer off and my skin is still dark. It takes 4 hours for the color to develop on your skin. My skin has a yellow/pink undertone in it as I am half asian, half white (Warm colors work well with my skin tone), and this tanner does not look orange at all.

I've been using this product for years and I love it. It's the only tanning product that doesn't leave you orange, and I haven't had a problem with it streaking. But you do have to be sparse around the feet, outer and inner elbows, and of course the wrists, just like it says on the bottle. I haven't had problems with it getting on clothing. I usually let it soak in for 2-3 hours then shower, I just don't wear white for 2-3 days to make sure it's all washed off well.

This sunless tanner gave me the best color I've ever gotten from a product like this, but it was very difficult to apply. The bronzer is good because it shows where you've missed spots, but I think it dries out the lotion a bit and makes it more difficult to spread. After you put it on, go in a well-lit room and check in the mirror for any pale spots, and then blend in more tanner over those. And the bronzer definitely does rub off, so I put it on, wait 3-4 hours for the lotion to dry and the tan to develop, and then wash it off with soap. Then you have your tan, and the bronzer won't get on your clothes.

Ok, the reviews I read are accurate, however, this gives you instant color that's equivalent to about 4 trips to the tanning beds. My advice? First, buy a pair of rubber gloves when applying it, or you'll get orange hands. Next, do not use this if you plan to wear white, it will rub off on your clothes. But, you'll look FAB with your basic colored summer-T and jeans. Also, shower and shave just before you apply, and be prepared to skip showers for 2 days or so if you want the color to last awhile. And lastly, give yourself 20 minutes to let the tanner dry on you or it might rub off, (and if the weather calls for rain either skip application for a sunnier day or dress accordingly (rain boots/rain slicker). Yes, this product is a lot of work, but it gives you more color in one coat than anything else out there. One bottle is good for about 3 applications. Happy tanning!

I HATED this product! I was extremely careful when applying it, and spread quickly and evenly over my legs, avoiding my ankles of course. Well, even after being ever so careful, the color came out in ugly streaks across my legs. The WORST self tanning experience I've had yet!

This stuff was terrible. Like many of the other reviews, the instant bronzer got all over and rubbed off on my clothes. I also used this for my face and it looked terrible. I would not recommend this product to anyone!!

The worst tanner. This bronzes everything instantly, including your hands and rubs off on everything. Blotches easily. Not worth the money!

Blend evenly over freshly cleansed skin. Apply sparingly around elbows, knees and ankles. Wash hands with soap and water immediately after use. Avoid contact with clothing until dry. Wait one hour before bathing or swimming. Sunless tan begins to develop in two to four hours and lasts for days. Reapply as needed to maintain or deepen color.
