I truly love all Aveeno products. Never knew they had hydrocortisone cream. Luckily it is FSA covered through my work. Bought it just to have around and I'm glad I did. My husband is a mechanic and sometimes he reacts from all the harsh cleaners and things he uses not only at work but to wash up from work. Just recently our area (Oregon) is having a terrible time with mosquitos and both my husband and stepdaughter had bad reactions to bites. Out came the Aveeno. It is working well on the bites. Tonight I am going to buy some more Aveeno products for them.

I've suffered from moderate to severe eczema on my hands off and on for the past 15 years. I've tried traditional steroid creams prescribed by physicians, chinese medicine, food remedies (e.g., apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, flax seed oil) to combat the horrible symptoms of this disease. I always go back to Aveeno 1% Hydrocortisone - it provides quick and gentle relief, has moisturizing and nourishing qualities that other hydrocortisone creams lack, and doesn't thin my skin. On Friday, I had numerous red, inflamed, blistery, and weepy patches on my hands and both wrists. It's now Sunday morning and both hands and wrists are about 80% clear. I use the product twice a day (I've found overnight use to be most helpful; it gives the cream a chance to work its magic over a longer period).

This is the only hydrocortisone cream that I use on my face or neck because it is much less heavy than the other brands - but it still moisturizes. It also blends just fine with with my sensitive skin sunscreen and makeup, and it has no fragrance. I can tolerate SOME fragrances, but if possible I just try to avoid them. For itches or irritations on the rest of my body I do use the heavier creams.

I have eczema, and the itching has been difficult to stop. It gets worse during winter months. This cream is the best thing I have found to control the itching, and it also seems to promote healing. It works better than other cortisone creams I have tried -- maybe it's the additional ingredients in this product. I highly recommend this stuff!
