well, I've read a lot of reviews on this one and decided to give it a try. I have truely curly hairs that require instant care after showers. My hair stylist tells me even a quality perm straight will only last me about one or two months. That being said, I found hairart not surprisingly effetive but makes my hair much more managable. I do have to run it twice or thrice though. It heats really fast and does add shine. I dont' know how others with thick and curly hairs do it, but maybe I just expect too much.

I will not get a perm EVER again!!!!

I love this hair straightener so much that I just got my 2nd one. I will never go back to the cheap ones. The first one I had for about 5 years, and it worked great until I went on vacation and it broke in my bag, it was my own fault. It is the best ever, I just have to straighten my hair once, there is no need to re straighten half way through the day. It leaves my hair soft and smooth and I don't have to worry about it getting frizzy. You can also use it to curel the ends of your hair under. I have recommended it to everyone I know! I hope you get it because I know you will love it too.

My daughter with curly hair says she only has to straighten once instead of other products that take several passes.

I use this hair straighter pretty much every morning. It heats up really fast and has 5 heat settings. I love it so much because it doesn't fry my hair the way other straighteners do. In about 15 minutes, I have silky, straight hair. My friend came over and I straightened her hair. She has super curly hair. In about half an hour it was amazingly straight! :)

Did not receive an instruction/owners manual. I have tried to contact HairArt and have not had any luck.

I have lots of very thick hair, which is usually time consuming to straight iron simply because there is so much of it. This iron gets hot enough to straighten quickly and gives an overall polished smooth look that lasts all day.

I have very curly har and for years have tried to find a way to keep it manageable and easy to take care. I gave up straightening years ago because it was too time consuming and I hated that my hair always smelled as if it were scorched after. Now, with this new iron my hair is soft and silky in minutes. It only took me 15-20 minutes to straighten it this morning and run out the door. In the past it's taken 90 minutes to blow dry and touch up with a curiling or flat iron. This straightening iron has earned a permanent place on the sink and will get used a lot!!! I loved it so much I've already recommended it to all of my co-workers with curly or wavy hair. ITS THE BEST!!!

I use the iron almost everyday and my hair looks and feels better than ever. My straightening time has been reduced, too. This iron makes it easy to flip under or out. As with any good iron, it does get VERY hot, so be careful. The only thing I wish it had was an automatic shut off because I forget to turn it off sometimes.

I love this iron so much I'm tempted to buy another one in case this one ever breaks! I've had it for about a year and it still works great. I can even let my curly hair dry naturally, and as long as I have the heat cranked up enough it will straighten it beautifully. And even though I use pretty high heat, it hasn't damaged my hair at all. I would definately recommend it.
