Indications

Temporarily relieves these symptoms due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies:  runny nose, sneezing, itchy, watery eyes, itching of the nose or throat

Directions

Adults and children 6 years and over:  1 tablet daily; not more than 1 tablet in 24 hours. Children under 6 years of age:  ask a doctor. Consumers with liver or kidney disease:  ask a doctor. Store between 2° C and 30° C (36° F and 86° F) Protect from excessive moisture.

Safety sealed:  do no use if the individual blister unit imprinted with Claritin® is open or torn. Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients. Ask a doctor before use if you have liver or kidney disease.  Your doctor should determine if you need a different dose. When taking this product do not take more than directed. Taking more than directed may cause drowsiness.  Stop use and ask a doctor if an allergic reaction to this product occurs.  Seek medical help right away.  If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children.  In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

How can something that is ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 5/9/08 How can something that is NON drowsy, make me drowsy? Makes my allergies about 50% better but still not a complete allergy remedy. My teen daughter gained weight using Claritin. Will they ever find a truly non drowsy allergy medication??

So drowsy that even cups and cups of coffee couldn't help. If you are working and have a active life style ,it is not for you...!!! I think the "non-drowsy" claim is not true at all...!!!

This stuff works great, and it neither makes me drowsy, nor does it give me medicine-head. I use this in conjunction with a daily sinus rinse and my allergies issues are just not an issue any more!

This product completely relieved my allergy symptoms without the usual side effects. It's a great OTC product, and I highly recommend it!

This is a very good ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 7/12/05 This is a very good product. Unfortunately, drugs have different effects on different people. Its OTC 24 version must be different then its prescription formula. When it was prescription, I used it for several years. It stopped working for me after that time period, but now its OTC 24 hour version is wonderful. Allegra caused me severe intestinal issues and Zyrtec causes me to sleep within 5 minutes. If Zyrtec had a non-drowsy formula, I would take it despite the price. With Zyrtec, after my initial nap, my sinuses would be clear for 24 hours.

I was given this product ... by Debra G in Houston, TX on 3/23/05 I was given this product when it was prescription only and it was quite expensive, even with insurance. I had very severe allergies which warranted having an EPI pen when it was severe enough to close by windpipe. Also I had a sinus infection continuously for a whole year. After taking Claritin D, the drainage subsided and now I only need to take this product in the Spring when everything is blooming. I'm so glad it's over the counter now and the 12 hour formula is available, because the 24 hr was too strong for me. Instead of telling people I have allergies, I now tell them I'm just "Allergy Challenged".

Stuff made me drowsy, and ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 10/9/04 Stuff made me drowsy, and didn't do much for my allergies (though they may have been relieved while I was asleep, I obviously couldn't notice if that were the case). Allegra is much better--though that may be apples to oranges, since this is OTC and that's prescription. Oh well.

I used to take Benadryl ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 8/23/04 I used to take Benadryl but I learned the ingredient is a sleep aid (it's in my Tylenol PM)! Now I only take Claritin and my allergies go away. It doesn't get me wired and doesn't make me tired. Like the TV ads say, I'm Claritin clear!
