This product might have been great, however....I'm currently using the Murad Acne Complex system, but was having problems getting rid of some stubborn blackheads. After asking a "skin care professional" if this would help, she advised yes, and to alternate this product with the Acne Cleanser that is a part of the kit. Ok. Worth a shot! Right? Wrong!!! For me, it just completely worked against my program, and made me break out BAD. So if you are currently using the Murad Acne Complex System, I wouldn't recommend alternating this into the schedule. Maybe it's fantastic for those using it alone. Not for me.

I have been trying exfoliating cleansers like this one since I was a teenager (so for 30 years!). I love this one because it's the perfect consistency and has the perfect amount of exfoliating particles - not too much, not too little. I love exfoliators that lather, and this one lathers great AND scrubs great (doesn't feel too rough yet still feels like it's doing something!). Yes, it's kind of pricey, but Murad is a great line.

My aesthetist started me on Murad but was out of the cleanser.[...] Within a week of beginning using this cleanser day and night, my horrible blemishes and whiteheads/blackheads began to stop. What a relief. The container says to use this product 2 to 3 times a week but I was in an emergency situation and using it twice a day 7 days a week has helped me immensely! This product not only has little granules in it to help exfoliate the skin and hit those blackheads, but it also contains salicylic acid in it, which I now know that I need. I also suggest that you purchase the clarifying lotion and moisturizer. Great product!

I love this product. I am 36 with oily, acne prone skin, and switched from Murad's Clarifying Cleanser to their AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser this past winter when my skin became very dry. I use this product 3-4 times a week (alternating with other cleansers) and it works wonderfully at moisturizing and smoothing my skin during the harsh cold weather. The product is creamy, very gentle, does burn my skin when applied nor does it cause me to breakout. I would recommend this product for any skin type - definately a staple in my skin care regime!

This product did an ok job of exfoliating, but in general, it irritated my skin and gave me those deep cyst-type acne marks. I began using this product because I had some minor blackheads and whiteheads I wanted to get rid of. Instead, my pimples got bigger, deeper, and more painful and took a long time to go away. I would never buy this product again.

I really enjoy using this cleanser. Although it doesn't take the place of a seperate exfoliator, it does maintain a smooth skin texture between days when I plan on exfoliating. It creates a nice lather, and leaves my skin clean, but not tight. I had to knock off a star for its price. Although not as good, I found that Neutrogena's Pore Refining Cleanser to have a similiar texture and ingredients for less than 1/3 of the price. However, I will continue to use this cleanser.

I was not impressed with this product. I am 55, with oily skin in my t-zone, and I need exfoliation. Didn't love or hate this product, but wouldn't buy it again as I didn't notice any improvement in my skin.
