Growing up, this was a staple in my Mom's bathroom. We used it for everything but I especially remember how well it worked to remove splinters. Now that I have a family of my own, I'm so happy I found this product again. It promotes healing and I recently used it on very chafed skin. I used it faithfully for 3 days and by day 4, the chafed skin was healed. Great stuff that is a must have for all generations!

I had an infection under the nail. Nothing was seen of an open sore, and I was thinking I would need to go to the doctor. A friend suggested Watkins salve. I put it on the nail and finger and wrapped it in gauze. Buy morning, the swelling was down and a little bit of blood was on the gauze. All the redness was gone in a couple of days. We will keep this ointment on hand.

As a child my mother would use the brown carbolated vaseline on any scrapes or sores and it would heal them almost immediately. It was super for chapped lips. Then Vaseline stopped making it and we hoarded all the jars that we could find because it was an awesome product. Now I have my own children and one of them had terrible bug bites on her legs from camp and she kept scratching them causing them to bleed and become infected. Neosporin did very little to help so I searched online for carbolated vaseline and found this product. I bought 4 tubs for each my sisters and brothers and they were so excited that I found it. I used this on my daughters legs and within 2 days they were almost gone and in 1 week you couldn't tell that she ever had scabbing infected bug bites. It is great stuff and every household should have this in their medicine cabinets!

I purchase this product when my three children were about 3-5-8 and was so very pleased with the healing quality. I have not been with out it since nor have any of my children been with out and they are now in their fifties. My son just bought a reg. size and a travel size. We all swear by this product which heals, draws puss comforts and puts confidence in the injured person that he will heal and feel better very shortly. An overnight sleep with this Watkins Petro Carbo salve on a bandage does wonders. If possible leave on for another day or so, depending on the injury. My one son had a deep cut when he was small, the Dr. failed to clean the injury and five days later it broke open again and was loaded with puss--hence I cleaned it and applied the salve to a large band aide and brought the sides of the cut together and the very next morning it was healed. It really is WONDERFUL.

I work in construction. In the winter my hands crack and bleed until the spring. If i'm diligent with moisturizer I can make the discomfort bearable This product works as well as any of the 30 or more other procducts I tried in the past. Better than most..

I have used it for bee stings and spider bites. They were both Bad, but both healed in three days. The discomfort was gone in 2 days. It really works GREAT.

I was first interduced to this Watkins product at a Home Party Show. For 39 years I have been using this product. It has soothed may a sunburn kid. I could not live without it.

This stuff works great and takes away the itch of those pesky skin allergies as well. We've used it for years and swear by it. It is for minor cuts, not sliced open toes.

This salve has been used by my family for probably 60 years and that is a conservative guess. It is the best stuff ever. My coworkers call it the magic salve. It is wonderful on cuts and scrapes- it takes the pain away. We get a lot of paper cuts and you know how those hurt. Just rub this on and the pain goes away. It's great for kids because there is no pain with the treatment. The can of salve lasts forever too.

My family has been using Petro-Carbo for as long as I can remember. It is the best stuff we have found for minor cuts and such. I would recommend it to anyone.
