This stuff is so good for so many uses that it makes you aware of how many unnecessary and expensive products there are out there.

Unlike the other reviewers, I haven't found it to be effective on cuts. I'm talking about paper cuts and cat scratches, primarily. It doesn't hold a candle to Neosporin and also doesn't relieve the pain. Haven't had the opportunity (thank goodness!) to use it on a burn, so that has yet to be seen. Glad to have it around, just in case. What it works wonderfully for are dry feet. I put it on my feet and then put on socks before going to bed. They're as soft as a baby's bottom in the morning. As foot treatments go, this is very economical! The tin itself needs work. It is impossible for me to open so I always have to ask for help. Wish it came in a container I could use independently. Maybe I'll scoop it out into a different container.

It is a great product. Works like a charm. Thanks for selling it online. I can no longer buy it in the drugstores.

Someone recommended carbolated vaseline but they don't make it anymore. Through my internet search for that I discovered Watkin's Petro-Carbo. Its a real MIRACLE for this condition! Absolutely the only thing that helped at all (they had gotten so bad it was embarassing) and my hands look totally NORMAL now! I put it on every night just before going to sleep. I keep it on my night stand and am SO thankful for this stuff!I hope this helps someone else.

I bought one of these for myself and one for my Mom, who is never without it in her medicine cabinet. She used this on us since we were little kids, and we are all in our 50's now. It's great for healing cuts, bites, and cracked and dry skin. It was hard to find, until I found out about drugstore.com.

Use the salve on my feet daily to help prevent drying and cracking of heals.

Growing up, this was a staple in my Mom's bathroom. We used it for everything but I especially remember how well it worked to remove splinters. Now that I have a family of my own, I'm so happy I found this product again. It promotes healing and I recently used it on very chafed skin. I used it faithfully for 3 days and by day 4, the chafed skin was healed. Great stuff that is a must have for all generations!

I had an infection under the nail. Nothing was seen of an open sore, and I was thinking I would need to go to the doctor. A friend suggested Watkins salve. I put it on the nail and finger and wrapped it in gauze. Buy morning, the swelling was down and a little bit of blood was on the gauze. All the redness was gone in a couple of days. We will keep this ointment on hand.
