I wanted something that would give me a little more volume and hold, and this didn't do it. It's probably great for thick, wavy hair. I've used Aveda's Confixor for years and wanted something similar.

I have long, straight, coarse Asian hair that I let air dry, and this works the best of anything I've tried (Aveda's Hang Straight, Neutrogena Triple Moisture Leave-in Creme in the bottle, the grooming cream they sell at Red Door salons). I put it in my still-damp hair, and my hair dries soft and has a nice body and shape. It's expensive, but the 2 oz size lasted me about 6 months with almost everyday use, and the 5 oz size has lasted me about 7 months with what looks like a month's use left.

It helps tremendously with manageability, especially with wavy or curly hair. If I could only have one hair product after I got out of the shower, this would be it.

I have short, naturally curly hair, and use a dab of it before applying mousse. It tames frizz, adds shine and manageability, is non-greasy, and has a delicate, calming scent with a touch of citrus. Highly recommended!

I have thick but very ... by Rebecca T in Aberdeen, WA on 4/11/05 I have thick but very fine hair with some curl, which gets oily and 'weighed down' by products very easily so I need to be careful to use those which are oil free and light, but still provide shine and control. I have been using Prive' brand Relaxing Gel for about a year and really love it but last time I got my hair done, my hair colorist recommended Bumble and Bumble Straight instead as she said it is less expensive and works great. When I got to the hair designer for my cut, she recommended the Grooming Cream instead and said it does the same thing as the Straight but much more. I am sure it is an excellent product for other hair types, but I found it wasn't anywhere close to the Prive' Relaxant Gel I have been using. It makes my hair feel oily and dirty sooner and not as shiny or healthy looking as the Prive' product, and doesn't control the curl as well. One of the ingredients in it is petrolatum which is an oil (Vaseline is made from it) and for my hair, oil doesn't work well.

This stuff is the ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 2/16/05 This stuff is the absolute best! I have thick, wavy hair and this helps to define my curls without being stiff or sticky. Helps take the "puffiness" out and leaves it soft but still nicely defined. I use the Bumble and Bumble leave-in conditioner and follow with grooming creme. I have tried to find less expensive alternatives but nothing compares to this product! It's worth it.
