Growing up in Orange County, I spent a lot of time at the beach working on my tan. But now that I'm older (and wiser), I know the harmful effects of the sun. So I finally turned to a sunless version of tanning. I love the color (and so does my boyfriend). I apply it every few days to keep a consistent color. It went on easy, but I noticed that it is fading unevenly in some places and it does have a slight chemical smell. It is not greasy at all. You just have to use a little bit because it's a creamy type lotion. I totally forgot that it's SPF 15, so that's a bonus, too.

I found this very drying for my skin which usually isn't dry. Also, as it faded, it left very small splotches and looked unnatural. The color overall wasn't too bad, but even after exfoliating, moisturizing, and using spare amounts, I still had trouble with it going on quite uneven around my knees and ankles. Using latex gloves to apply did help it go on smoothly and evenly everywhere else and helped avoid stained hands. I wouldn't buy it again.

If you don't have dry skin, then use this product sparingly to avoid the greasy feeling. I have somewhat dry skin and I've never found this to feel too greasy. I get a very natural tan, though it seems to fade a bit unevenly. I love that it has sunscreen, and perhaps it's this ingredient that causes others to describe it greasy?? At least you've saved a step and protected your skin!! This is also the first product I've used that doesn't have that awful self-tanner smell!!

I've tried numerous other self-tanners and the benefits of this are: not bad smelling, no streaking, works quickly, very natural looking. Also, having SPF 15 sunscreen is a huge bonus - both a time and money saver. I used this prior to a late winter tropical vacation and kept using it while I was there as my sunscreen. It worked great for sun protection and I didn't look like a pale tourist! I agree that it's pretty greasy feeling and takes too long to dry, but that's my only complaint.

To everyone who complains that this product is greasy and/or never dries: You're applying too much! I've never had that problem, nor have I felt that the resulting color looked fake or orange-y. I've received compliments from friends on my "tan" and they were surprised when I told them it's 100% fake. My dermatologist even asked me what brand I use because it looked so good.

I do agree the scent of this product isn't great but otherwise it is the best self-tanner I've ever used by far. I am extremely pale and have tried every self-tanning product out there. This is the only one that goes on evenly, comes out a believable shade and doesn't streak. This is the first summer I've been able to wear shorts and skirts and people think I've actually got a nice, natural tan - I get compliments every time I use it.

Apply evenly all over body. For sunscreen benefits, apply before sun exposure. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Let skin dry before putting on clothes. Use daily until you have achieved the desired level of tan, and then apply 1-2 times a week. Best if used within 6 months of purchase.
