Ask a doctor before use if you have - never had migraines diagnosed by a health professional - a headache that is different from your usual migraines. - the worst headache of your life - headaches beginning after or are caused by head injury, exertion, coughing or bending. - experienced your first headaches after the age of 50 - daily headaches - migraine headaches so severe as to require bed rest - fever and stiff neck. When using this product - avoid contact with eyes, wounds, mucous membranes, broken or irritated skin. - do not share this product with anyone.  - do not apply a heating pad to forehead. Stop use and ask a doctor if - skin redness or irritation develops - an allergic reaction occurs.  Seek medical help right away. - migraine headache pain worsens or continues for more than 48 hours - new or unexpected symptoms occur - ringing in the ears or loss of hearing occurs. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of the reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. I have a 15-year history of migraines and this is a great portable product to keep with you to take immediate action when a migraine hits. When applied, it starts a cooling pain-alleviating sensation within moments and works for about an hour on me. It is extremely useful to have while you are waiting for a medication taken in pill form to take effect. I keep one on my desk and one in my purse so I know instant comfort is there when I need it. The minutes before my prescription medication kicks in can seem like hours and this really helps to take the edge off.

It doesn't help all that much once a migraine has gotten very intense except to add some cooling comfort. However, since it works right away, it's terrific in combination with migraine medications.

Somewhat comforting but ... by Rita C in Englewood, OH on 12/12/07 Somewhat comforting but really does not work at all. When one has a headache, especially a migraine, we often will use anything and everything that might help. With this product be very careful to not get into your eye. I suspect all of the headOn for any of the headaches do not work but may help with sinus problems at least a tiny bit. Better off to go for Olbas or Vicks though for sinus.

In my experience, it won't completely get rid of a headache, but it will alleviate the pain while it's on (for at least 1-2 hours, and then I reapply as necessary). So for those with true migraines, this is not a magic cure, but provides some INSTANT relief. Those who get severe headaches will know that any degree of relief is a godsend, even if it doesn't get rid of the headache entirely. I find it turns my skin a light red, but I prefer looking a bit pink to intense pain! This product is at least worth trying.

Whereas it does make the ... by Linda P in Escondido, CA on 3/31/07 Whereas it does make the headache feel a little bit better, a cool washcloth or baggie with some ice in it does the same and this stuff is strong enough that for several days after I use it, my forehead itches like mad and eventually peels. So I guess I'm sensitive to the stuff. I've had migraines for over 40 years and have tried everything, and never had that sort of reaction before.

I love HeadOn Migraine ... by Shawn in APO, AE on 1/6/07 I love HeadOn Migraine Relief. It doesn't always work for me, but that happens. It works more often than not for me, which is great. It does work best for me at the beginning of my migraine or headache. I look forward to trying the other HeadOn products.

I have had migraines for ... by dulcie in Undisclosed on 1/3/07 I have had migraines for more than 20 years. I have been going to the doctors for years for relief...once my system gets used to the prescription, they don't work anymore, plus I get an upset stomach from all the medications. I decided to try Head On after having a headache for 3 days without relief. To my surprise, it worked in 30 minutes, and without any side effects. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. This is a fantastic breakthrough. I was so excited about this product that I introduced it to my co-workers, and now we all use the product. Thanks a lot for this relief! It was the best money I have ever spent!

I am pregnant, and ... by Laurie in Evergreen Park, IL on 1/2/07 I am pregnant, and decided that this would be worth a try. I have had migraines for 5 years, finally diagnosed a few months ago by a neurologist. Head On helps 20-30%, which is a big relief when I am really suffering and trying to stay away from oral medications. It works a lot better if you carry the Head On with you and use it at first signs of headache, or warning signs. I found that it also helps my eye symptoms (swelling, pain, and dry irritated feeling) that I get that go along with my headaches. I was not going to try to convice my husband to try this, as we both really like Excedrin (at least before I was pregnant), but he saw me using it and wanted to try it, and now he says it works for him too, about 20%. It is not greasy or oily feeling. I have ultra-sensitive allergy skin, acne-prone with rosacea and seborric dermatitis. Head On does not irritate my skin or eyes (Vicks menthol usually irritates my eyes). It has a slight menthol like aroma, but that does not bother me, either.

AS long as I apply it at ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 11/24/06 AS long as I apply it at the very beginning when the pounding, flashing lights, and the nausea become like a hatchet in the right side of my head (always on the right side), then this HeadOn is great and does work. BUT-----if I try to use it AFTER the above has gotten going, it is a waste, and does nothing. The key for me is to GET ON IT AT THE START.

My migraines are so ... by Tess in Undisclosed on 11/13/06 My migraines are so dreadful in that I get very sick (pounding head and stomachaches). I refuse to take traditional "medicines" i.e., aspirin, etc. I've tried other natural remedies, but this one works fast, and is very effective in terms of relief. I will continue its use and try other HeadOn products as well. A keeper! In my opinion, if you are looking for an alternative, this product is the best thing on the market.

I was still recieving a ... by Justin in Undisclosed on 11/7/06 I was still recieving a pounding pulse, was very sensitive to light, and decided to try HeadOn. IT REALLY WORKS- There's a slight tingly feeling, like sticking Icy Hot or Cold medication Menthol on your forhead, but it soothes the pain away just like a muscle reliever. It works best when applying the product on the sides of your head around the temporal region, which will provide quicker temporary relief! THANKS, HEAD ON!

I was so skeptical, I've ... by Kathryn C in Reston, VA on 10/23/06 I was so skeptical, I've suffered from migraines for 20+ years and have tried all the OTC and Rx meds. This won't cure your migraine on it's own, but in combination with Rx abortives, will help until they begin to work. I (jokingly) applied it to my father's elbow where he has persistent tendonitis, and it worked so well he bought his own tube!

A cooling sensation ... by Jessica M in Tucson, AZ on 7/31/06 A cooling sensation always helps my migraines. Normally, I use an ice pack on my forehead, but that's pretty hard to have handy at all times. That's where HeadOn comes in! It may not eliminate my headaches, but it can certainly take the edge off (and it's a lot easier to have on hand than ice!) I have one tube in my purse, one in my nightstand, one at work-- yes, I'm a fan for life!

This product did ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 7/20/06 This product did absolutely nothing, even for a mild headache, so I definitely wouldn't try it on one of my severe migraines. I guess it's back to Excedrin Migraine for me. That's the best thing over-the-counter that I've tried.
