I've had acne since I was 9 years old, after I had Chickenpox. I've tried every prescription drug, over the counter meds, and infomercial and shopping network brands. None of them worked. Most of them irritated my skin. I have really sensitive and oily skin. I suffer from severe acne. When salicylic acid came out, I couldn't use it because most of the treatments were creams. When I used it, my face would turn blotchy and inflamed. In this Neutrogena treatment, the salicylic acid dosage is in the cleanser, which allows me to determine how much time I want to keep it on my face. When the acne is bad, I leave it on my face all day. By the end of the week, my face clears up. I don't get anymore whiteheads and blackheads on my face. Yes, its drying, so I use the moisturizer a lot. I love it. It is the only moisturizer that doesn't make me breakout. I also use the cleanser on my Keloids. I've developed keloids from postulate acnes. It is the only effective product that reduced the keloid. Dermatologist shots and other treatment didn't help. They made keloids larger and dark. I think the best way to use this product is once a day or several times a week. I started out like everyone who had a negative reaction. I had a lot of acne develop... my skin was dry and irritated, but I stuck it out. I'm use to reacting to new products this way, so I eased my sensitive skin into using this product by using it once a week, then every other day until I'm able to use it once a day. I rarely wash my face twice a day because my skin is sensitive. I hope those who had a negative feedback will give this product another chance.

I got this kit at [...]because this is Neutrogena- hello, it's fantastic, but I was worried it'd be too gentle. Turns out, it was a bit too drying for my taste, tightened my skin like you couldn't believe so that I couldn't even smile without pain! (This was the spot stuff, the very right bottle) I have normal skin, but that didn't keep drying at bay. I saw little to no results, and quit after almost a month of being strictly on this, washing twice daily. (Thought I'll admit I never used the SPF stuff. It was Winter when I tried this, so I thought, "Whatever.")

I hate this product so much! At first, I thought it was going to work, the cleanser smelled so soapy and good ... and well, there were no results! Sure, it helped a little, but just a little, I have teen acne you could say, I'm 14 and I've had it since I was 12. It's not fair, everyone says so, but don't expect much from this! Neutrogena is gentle, and this was compared to other 3-step solutions like AcneFree and tons of Clean & Clear products. There isn't much a need for moisturizers (I have normal skin) but why bother at all? Finally after a month I gave up hope, there wasn't much reduction in my pimples, I still have acne. Oh, by the way, I tried Skin iD and I thought I LOVED it (Skin iD is by Neutrogena too) but then I started getting a pimple, then two, then they were gone, but then I broke out with over five pimples- let's just say I'm using it (almost a month) and I WAS satisfied with Skin iD but now I'm TOTALLY NOT!!For both this 3 step system AND Skin iD (only available at [...]) I'm giving a 2 star review.

The holy trifecta of skincare (cleanser, treatment and moisturizer) that every skin treatment brand touts is found in this system. The cleanser has cleaned up my blackheads effectively, the treatment clears up any (now small) breakouts I have, and the moisturizer has spf 15! My acne has only gotten worse in my 20's and its horrifying, but this system has drastically reduced my breakouts and quickly clears up any small ones I get. Make sure to follow directions - like any benzol peroxide, it will bleach fabric if you don't let the treatment dry as instructed.

I'm 26 and I used to use this years ago and then I couldn't find it. I tried Proactiv, which really dried my face out and left red blotches. I was searching around for something else to try and wondered if this was like the stuff I used to use. It's identical, the packaging just changed. I just wanted to give my first impression on this product. I have only been using it for 1 week, and already my face is almost completely clear. It dries up pimples super fast, just try not to pick at them! I am 22 and lately have been suffering from the worst acne of my life. Large, painful red under the skin pimples. I only get them on my chin, no where else on my face has acne. I tried Proactiv and that product irritated my skin so badly I used to have to fan my face after applying the toner and lotion. After the first day, most of the redness surrounding my acne was gone, and the pimples were noticibly shrinking in size. The only con is that the night cream does make the skin on my chin flaky, but I just apply a face cream over it and it's okay. The scent of the product is also a lot nice than most products harsh smells. The consistency of the cleanser is a bit thick and fell off my fingers a few times. And the night lotion almost feels like a peel mask making my skin really tight feeling. But the feeling is temporary. I have a lot of confidence that this product will be under my sink for a long time!

I got a terrible reaction on my skin within 3 days¿ It looks like hives all over my face and neck. Before, I only have few pimples. Now¿ I am not sure when my face can back to normal.
