Like many others, I have used Acnomel for more years than I can count. I started using it as a teenager when it was just called "Acnomel." Apparently, it gew into "Adult Acnomel" along with me and my adult breakouts. Many years later, hormones are wrecking havoc with breakouts, and I don't know what I would do without my Acnomel. I apply a light coat in my T-zone under department-store oil-free makeup to lightly cover blemishes and control oil, and then pat it on with a makeup sponge during the day to eliminate any oily shine. After all these years, I'm a pro at making the cream blend with my makeup and my very fair skin tone, without making anything look caked on. When I'm at home, and especially at bedtime, I apply a slightly heavier coat to control my oily skin throughout the day/night. The Acnomel is hard to find. My supermarket pharmacy used to order it special for me, but they could no longer get it. Thankfully, I found it here at drugstore.com! I couldn't live without this product, and I couldn't be happier that I can purchase it here! Please don't ever stop carrying this product! I think I'm an "Acnomel" addict, but it's one of only a few products that actually works with my skin.

Still getting pimples in my 30's. This stuff works best as emergency treatment. Use it at night and the inflammation will go away much quicker than with other products. You have to use a very small amount if you want to use it under your makeup. Notr ecommended as daily / prevention tx as it will dry your skin.

I have used Acnomel for years. It is the only thing that has ever worked for my adult acne. After 30 none of the regular acne meds worked anymore. I wear it under makeup lightly to cover pimples and also at night. It gets rid of them faster than anything I've tried.

Better than other Acne medicine!!

Due to very sensitive skin I cannot tolerate oily skin products so for the most part was unable to tolerate the many Acne products out there, including Pro-Active, Acne Statin and Dr. Murad's products. Clearasil had some effect but the benzol peroxide bleached my towels and clothing. Then I found Adult Acnomel in a drug store one day and decided to try it because of the sulfur ingredients. I was happy with the results and this product isn't even advertised! I was even happier when I discovered Drugstore.com sells it cheaper than the stores. I just wish I could wear it during the day like a foundation but the tint is too dark for very pale skin but just by using it every night you will see good results. It is drying but for oily skin it's fabulous and usually acne prone skin is oily. It works better than all the expensive advertised stuff!

Really serious medication for the occational big blemish. If used regularly, it would dry an adults skin out, but it works great for teens with oily skin. I've used it for 15 years, and sometimes it is hard to find in the stores.

I can't believe all the good reviews this stuff got! It is the worst stuff I have ever used! It smells terrible and made my face break out horribly! It is the kind of stuff you find on the closeout table at the dollar store.

This is for adults who truly suffer from acne. It is best used at bedtime and will keep your skin from getting oily overnight. The sulfer is MUCH better than salacytic acid or BP for those who have real adult acne. I have had to use overnight acne creams for 30+ years and this is the BEST non prescription cream I have ever found.

This product is Sulfur based. Not Salicylic or Benzoyl. I've been thru Salicylic and Benzoyl Peroxide and neither has worked for. Sulfur base has worked out greatly for me. I use this product at night before i goto sleep. Because in the daytime, the sun can eat your skin away with this stuff on. What I like about is that it is fast acting. About 72 hours of use and my acne is just about gone. Except for the blemishes left behind, it has worked. Although, you shouldn't use it on large areas of the face as it can seriously chafe your skin. I would avoid using aggressive washes such Salicylic wash or Benzoyl wash because they combination of Sulfur and 1 of the 2 washes mentioned will chafe your skin badly. So, use a gentle wash like Dove or Cetafil face wash. The turn around on average for this is 14-21 days with consistent use. It's worth every penny.
