These prenatal vitamins are great! I'm in my 3rd trimester and I've been taking them from the beginning of my pregnancy.
They have never made me sick! In fact, the one time I tried to switch to a different (slightly less-expensive) brand, I threw up within 15 mins of taking the other brand of vitamin, and it was then that I was truly convinced that Rainbow Light is far superior to the others. It is truly gentle on the stomach, though I always take it with a meal or a snack.
Also, I take them everyday with a DHA supplement, and I don't know if it's just the vitamins doing their job or if this speaks to my diet as well, but I just my iron levels tested and I am no where near anemic. I'd like to think these vitamins have contributed to that! I would recommend them to any pregnant woman.

I've been taking these for a week now (on a full stomach) and I feel "yucky" afterward. I even started taking them closer to bedtime so I wouldn't feel the "yucky" feeling but my stomach still doesn't feel well in the morning. I am going to keep on with these vitamins because they have a great ingredient list but I'm not sure how long my stomach will hold up. I wish I could give these more stars.

My husband and I are TTC and I wanted to start getting ready by taking a multivitamin. I did extensive research on different pre-natal vitamins and Rainbow Light came out on top. I like the fact that it is 100% natural, free of animal ingredients AND wheat free, gluten free, sugarfree and dairy free. I definitely feel more alert since I began taking these a month ago and I defintely notice the difference on the days when I have forgotten to take it. Absolutley worth the $$.

So I did my research on natural vitamins and also had heard these were one of the better OTC prenatal vitamins. If you are looking for less processed and easy to digest prenatals, these are excellent.
Yes, if taken on an empty stomach they may have upset. But I take usually with a meal and since then have been fine. Additionally, they do not bind you up (read: constipate) like other prenatals can.
I slacked off taking them for a few weeks in my pregnancy and asked my midwife to allow me to get start taking the Rainbow Light again before forcing me on iron supplements. After 3 weeks of daily use I'm nearly back to "normal" iron levels after a retest.

These were the first prenatal vitamins I tried, and they became the only ones I've taken! I was worried such a large supplement would come with unpleasant side effects, but these are simple to take, easy to digest and never bothered me.
In the first trimester I took them with juice to mask their vitamin-y smell, but after that I didn't even notice it anymore.
I plan to continue taking these as I nurse. My doctor checked the label and gave them a thumbs-up, and the price is great. I'd highly recommend them to any woman who is pregnant or considering becoming pregnant.

holy moly. Just one pill and my stomach gets very upset- It feels like food sits in my stomach and I can't eat anything. I spent a lot of money and now I have to throw out the whole bottle. I don't have a weak stomach either.
