I was taking a prescription prenatal when I was pregnant with and breastfeeding my daughter. When I switched insurance, I found that it was not on the formulary, so I started taking these when my husband and I were trying to prepare for the next baby. I have to say that I agree that the pills are relatively large, and probably a tad difficult to swallow if you're not used to taking multivitamins. My prescription vitamin was a soft gel and much easier to swallow, so switching to these wasn't very pleasant. But overall, I've had no problems taking these. I do get queasy, but it's probably from the pregnancy vs. the vitamin (wasn't queasy before becoming pregnant). My advice for those thinking of switching to another brand is to make sure to compare the amount of nutrients you're getting. You may find that other vitamins do not equal the amount of nutrients you're getting with Rainbow. (Because of my nausea, I probably haven't been eating the most well-rounded meals, so knowing I'm getting more than 100% of some nutrients makes me feel better). And many other brands don't have the added benefit of digestive supporting ingredients as this one does. Oh, and BTW, that bright yellow urine is usually from the Riboflavin (Vit B2). Of course, when in doubt, check with your doctor.

We are planning on trying to start trying to conceive in a few months so I started taking Prenatal vitamins a few months ago. I switched over to these Prenatal One vitamins and they gave me the worst gas ever....so embarrassing. I really wanted to like these. Its definitely the vitamins causing the issue because I stopped taking them for 2 days and didn't have any issues then started taking them again and within a few hours the horrible gas was back...I kept on them for another 2 days with issues and then stopped again and Im relieved of the issue. I don't see many other complaints about gas and constipation but for me it was unbearable. These are going in the trash and Im going to try out another brand.

Comments about Rainbow Light Prenatal One Multivitamin, Tablets, 90 ea:

Prior to finding this multivitamin, I have never been consistent in taking multivitamins because of the flavor and digestive upset they caused me. This is the first and only multivitamin I've found that does not leave a "vitamin" flavor in my mouth, and lead to "vitamin" flavored burps throughout the day. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because although it is vegan, I am not sure what the "vegan guard" is made of, and have heard rumor it could be plastic! Also, as a pre and post natal vegetarian woman I find that in addition to this multivitamin, I need to also supplement my calcium, iron and B12.

I am 5 and 1/2 weeks pregnant after two months of TTC. I started taking Rainbow Light prenatal vitamins as soon as we decided to get pregnant. I have a fairly sensitive stomach and I have always gotten nauseous when taking vitamins. Not so with these-- I take them right before bed, and I've never had any problems. So far, so good!

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the vitamin B6 and ginger will help to keep my morning sickness symptoms to a minimum.

Comments about Rainbow Light Prenatal One Multivitamin, Tablets, 90 ea:

I typically have problems with regular vitamins upsetting my stomach, so I knew prenatal vitamins would be a challenge. I bought these based on the great reviews saying they are gentle on the stomach. I just cannot keep them down. I've tried with huge meals (which is very difficult, still being in my first trimester and the idea of eating is repulsive) and that works best but still they make me so nauseated. I tried taking them before bed but the nausea would wake me up and I'd have to run to the bathroom. I'm glad they work for others, I love that they are vegan and once daily, but I'm going to have to switch. They don't do me any good if I can't keep them down.

I really like these vitamins...they do turn my urine bright, bright yellow and I do notice an increase in having a headache (I'm not pregnant - we are planning to get pregnant next month) but overall I feel they are gentle on the stomach (when taken w/ a full meal) and the vitamins have improved my complexion! Any one else getting headaches w/ these vitamins??

When I first opened the bottle, I was worried the smell would make these hard to swallow. If you stick your nose in the bottle the smell is a bit strong. Don't let that discourage you!

When I took the first one, I couldn't believe there was no smell at all. They are easy to take. They are average size for a good quality vitamin. Yes, cheaper vitamins will be smaller, but these are packed full of vitamins and minerals.

I love that you only have to take one a day, and I love that they are vegetarian. They are very easy on the stomach. Get these, you will like them!
