This henna is wonderful. I'm a first time henna user with unprocessed, medium blonde hair. Honestly, when prepared the henna looked a little gross and I was worried about putting it in my hair, but it smelled so good that I gave it a shot. My hair turned out incredibly shiny with lots of golden blonde highlights and a bit thicker. I followed their suggestion and used chamomile tea as my liquid. My hair still smells slightly like tea the next day, but I consider that a plus.
