I have been looking for a small vacuum to use everyday for little clean ups and have gone through dozens of corded and cordless vacuums. Seeing no reviews at all for the readivac and the features it offered I thought I should test it out. What a mistake. It is cheaply made, when you get it you will be shocked at what you bought. The folding handle, cheap plastic, when it snaps up to lock you feel like you almost broke it. When you need to fold it again, you cant really fold it without feeling like your going to break it. The cord does not stay tight when its folded. The color is way off the picture. Now past the aesthetics is the function. It does not have near as much power as I would hope, I have a cordless vacuum that offers almost as much suction that this corded vacuum boasts. The pedal to change levels from carpet to hard floors on the brush --- utter garbage. It lifts it a centimeter, but it just drags on carpet and doesn't pick anything up. For the cost it is not worth it. The brush -- if you can call it a brush, it has no power or rolling brush, what they consider a brush is a piece of felt like material framing the rectangular nozzle that actually stops the vacuum from collecting anything particle larger than a grain of sand. The suction may be ample, like i said its more powerful than a cordless, but when the brush prevents items from getting into the path of suction, it doesn't really matter how powerful the suction is. I honestly feel ripped off after purchasing this product, i should have known since its the same manufacturer who makes Ginsu knives, buyer be warned.
