I usually spend $30 on shellac manicures where CND and OPI is used. Red carpet colors are as pigmented and the kit allowed me to do my nails in about an hour, same amount of time at the shop. Best purchase!

The kit was easy to use although I would have appreciated a lighter color to start out to help hide mistakes (getting color on skin surrounding nail). I found a 6W AC adaptor at home so I didn't need to rely on batteries. Very satisfied with first application and look forward to purchasing more colors.

I followed the directions exactly as they were printed and had no problems. Much better than acrylic nails and much prettier. I didn't have any chipping and the color stays bright and shiny. My nails look like they were done in a professional salon. The Red Carpet Manicure Set is one of my favorite new products this year. Love it!

I don't regret buying this because it's a much cheaper alternative to the salon.. But Red Carpet definitely chips much easier than professional.
I'm getting the hang of it, though, the thinner the application, the less likely it is to chip.

After reading the review for this product, I was a bit hesitant to try. However, after receiving the product I was pleasantly surprised. The first time I used this, there was a bit of a learning curve. The biggest advice is to give yourself time to play and follow the directions exactly. Your nails will turn out great. I get a ton of compliments about my nails. Another thing I noticed is that the batteries die quickly. In hindsight I wish I purchased the larger LCD light. Most likely, I will purchase the adapter plug. Taking the polish off is a bit tricky as well. You really need to sit for at least 15 minutes (with the foil) and then removing the old polish is relatively easy. Another "trick" I found out is when the polish is removed, your nails are a little rough. I usually put a clear coat on for a few days and they are in pretty good shape.

I am soooo disappointed with this product. I am returning it. I have tried to use it twice and it comes home in a few days. When I go to the salon for this service it lasts for at least two weeks. I even went out and purchased two additional colors at [$] each. Very disappointed!
