I have short, fine, thinning hair so I usually get a body perm to give it more texture and volume. That's why I use this product. I don't want frizz! Also this product smells just terrific in your hair. I use one pump, rub in my fingers and run my fingers through my hair. Then air dry. Later, I use a curling iron to take the look of frizz and kinky hair away...but I still have texture and volume left. My hair dresser always uses this in my hair, so I bought it myself and started using. It NEVER makes my hair feel dirty or heavy...and believe me, with short, thinning hair, I'd know that immediately. Just smells and feels clean with less tight curls and no frizz. Love it!

It lasts a very long time and smells terrific. Gives definition just where you want it. It was recommended by my beautician.

I'm allergic to perfumed items, and also allergic to this. I miss the Straight product, it was much better. This does not straighten my hair, it only makes it stiff after blow-drying. Within a few hours, the frizz and cowlick curls return. Very unhappy.

I have used Align for many years (6+). I have tried various products and my stylist was the one that recommended it. I have wavy hair, light on the curl. Every morning I wash my hair with various shampoos, always with a conditioner (Redken Smooth Down.) I then add 2-3 pumps to my hair, top to bottom, from about 1/2 inch from the roots. I then comb through and give a quick blowdry. Then, I pull up my hair and dry in sections over a large round ceramic brush. All in all, I spend about 30 minutes doing my hair and with the help of Align, my hair manages to keeps it's straight, smooth look. On occasion, around my face, I'll give a quick Chi to add an extra "straight" look. I have tried many other products that do not hold the straight as well. If I mess up and don't distribute evenly it can look greasy in that spot. But, other then that, I recommend! And, unless someone can recommend another product, I'll be using this until they quit making it.

Wash your hair, don't use conditioner, use one pump of this stuff and smooth through hair. Either let dry naturally or blowdry. Of all the literally hundreds of products I've tried, this is by far the best. I don't use it to get ultra straight hair although I guess it ends up pretty straight - just use this as a styling aid and wait for the complements! My hair even looks good the next day with little effort. I do not use anything except a blowdryer and I swear it's optional if you have a good haircut and use this product.

I've only used this a couple of times so far and had to quit. Found it to be very damaging when used with a blow dryer and flat iron (together, or individually).
It does not protect against weather damage, nor does it keep my hair straight like it should.
Frizz control in minimum, and actually made mine worse in the long run.

I was hoping for a product that could withstand the weather in the Puget Sound because I walk almost everywhere. This one did not do the trick; it's made my hair color fade quickly, and the last 4 inches of my hair has become frizzy with a ton of split ends.

The smell is okay though! Very strong, and kind of musky, but nice - my boyfriend likes it a lot.

I love Redkin, but this product is awful, and I would not recommend it. Instead, try Redkin's "Extreme Anti-Snap Leave-in Treatment - 8.5 fl oz" for frizz control and protection from heat tools (doesn't straighten hair).

I was using a different straightening balm with not very good results and since my stylist uses this on my hair, I thought I would switch. I really like it. It makes it much easier to straighten my stubborn wavy hair.

I used it on the recommendation of a friend. She has shorter, curlier hair than mine. My hair can best be described as "unruly"...it needs product to smooth it out and eliminate frizz. Align 12 made my hair heavy, but didn't smooth it out. It wasn't frizzy, but seemed to keep too much volume. It almost seemed dirty, although I had just washed it. It did nothing positive to my hair...it is going directly to my trash can.

Love this! As a stylist, I 've used just about everything. I have slightly wavy hair, and it just looks best straight-but no matter how hard I try or how long I spend blow-drying, by the end of the day, my hair has started to revert back to being wavy! Not with this-blow drying with a little of this and then a quick once over with the flat iron keeps my hair straight (and completely frizz free!) all day. My hair looks shinier and healthier, too! I love the smell-i can smell it periodically throughout the day-smells clean and light. I love it!
