I agree with Flip (6/1/09) although the smell doesn't bother me. Also, this product, to me, is a bit "pricey" (as are Flip's "American Crew" products). Substantially less expensive alternatives to try, which also have more hold, are: 1) TRESemme 24 HOUR BODY weightless creme, and 2) GARNER FRUCTIS Leave-in Conditioning Cream, SLEEK & SHINE.

I bought this when I ran out of my American Crew Styling Creme because the consistency of this Redken product seemed to be about the same as my AC creme. I didn't realized how heavily perfumed this product is--in fact my wife and 2 co-workers asked me if I started wearing cologne when I started using this product--and it does smell strongly of a man's cologne. It has a very light hold--too light for me. I have fairly thick, slightly longer hair (not shoulder length, but not a buzz cut either), and I was hoping for a little more control with this. If you're looking for a really light-hold product, don't mind the strong scent, and prefer styling cremes over gels, this product might be for you. Personally, I'll be going back to my American Crew creme.
