I use the Definer then spray on the spray gel. My curls are defined, tamed and if I sleep on the curls they look even better the next day. LOVE it! I don't find that this product has done a thing for me. My normally bouncy curls are flat even though this product is not heavy, and I end up with frizz layers lying on top. It could be made of water for all it's worth. It did not boost anything. It seems to be more of a crunchy gel thing. I would not recommend it. I could have spent a lot less to look like a Jersey-girl '80s throwback. Also, the scent is a little strong, reminds me of cheap men's cologne. It works well with frizz, though. I spray this on and use the diffuser (or let it dry naturally). It enhances my wave into more of a soft curl. I use this before blow drying my hair; I use my fingers while drying, versus a brush. It helps my hair to maintain the curl/wave.
