I have long thick slightly wavy going gray hair so I use lots of oils (argan, agave, coconut, etc.) to keep it shiny and healthy. I use this shampoo once or twice a month just to make sure it doesn't get stringy or greasy looking. This shampoo is very mild and lathers great. I could use it more often if needed but the monthly use works just fine for me. I always keep an extra bottle on hand as I would hate to run out. Compared to other similar type cleansers, nothing beats Redken.

This really works!

What this IS
A product to use periodically (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) to remove product build-up and minerals.

What this IS NOT
A daily shampoo.

For me this product corrects two things: build-up from a heavy conditioner, and rust-water from old pipes.

I have below-shoulder, thick, straight, color-treated, medium-blond hair. It is naturally very dry, and with years of highlights, it is definitely like straw. To correct this, I use Aveda Dry Remedy Conditioner which is an EXCELLENT conditioner for dry hair. It really corrects my issues. However, after several weeks of use the oils from the conditioner begin to build up, weighing my hair down and making it feel a bit greasy. I do not use ANY products in my hair (styling products) so my hair gets greasy from frequent use of this heavy conditioner.

I also live in an old home with rusty pipes which leave my blond locks with an undesirable yellow/orange tint. I try to correct with with purple shampoo to balance the brass, but it never works as well as I'd like.

This product has really helped my hair A TON! I use it once a week, really lathering up and leave it on my hair 3-5 minutes. Then I rinse and follow up with my conditioner. There is a noticeable change after using this product. My hair feels fuller because it is not weighed down. The color is lighter and the brassiness is reduced greatly.

The only downfall is that this makes your hair squeaky clean and is a little drying (for my already dry hair). This is not something I'd use daily, but is nice to use weekly (or every other week). The smell is not that great to me. It smells familiar... slightly fruity.... but not a smell that I enjoy. However this works so darn good that I don't mind the smell!

This shampoo does a great job of cleaning any resadue off your hair, always feels fuller and less weighed down after just one use. Don't let it sit in you hair unless you have serious build up though, just a few minutes of lather should do.

This shampoo is great to use weekly for thorough gentle cleansing. It is the best lathering shampoo I have used and smells wonderful. I always use a conditioner afterward and I have color treated hair. Haven't used long enough to know how it will affect that, but so far seems to be holding well. I really like this shampoo even though it's a little pricier than my normal ones.

This is a great product for gentle, yet effective cleansing! I have a very sensitive scalp that often gets itchy from most products. This shampoo doesn't do that. It actually helps relieve some of the itchiness caused by other products. I use several times a week. Hair is stripped of buildup, yet soft and manageable. Highly recommend!

THIS IS FANTASTIC, I USE IT ONLY BEFORE I COLOR MY HAIR TO GET OUT ALL THE BUILD UP. HAIR IS BABY SOFT AND HEALTHY AFTER. COLOR TAKES BETTER AND LASTS LONGER. EXCELLENT PRODUCT...AND THE PRICE IS NOT SO BAD IF YOU USE IT ONLY ONE A MONTH.

This shampoo is great for clarifying hair. I use it once a month, and it makes my hair shiny, lustrous, manageable. It does not strip the hair of oils but rids it of excess products and has a tolerable smell.

This was recommended as a gentle, conditioning shampoo for color
treated hair after daily swims. Alas, the chlorine ruined my color
(surprise!), but the shampoo yielded thick, luxuious lather and
smelled great. I can't justify the price for the great aroma or
the conditioning, however. Other shampoos do as well.
But I loved it while it lasted!
