Albeit, I still drink coffee, tea and soda almost everyday, so I suppose this could very well negate the whitening ingredients. But nowhere does it say you can't either. So, I'll go thru the whole tube, but not impressed yet. And I've a feeling I won't be. I'll amend this later if things change. This was the recommended toothpaste to use a few times a week. However, I use it everyday!! Keeps up with the maintenance of the teeth whitening process. Absolutely LOVE the wintergreen flavor over the mint flavor. I can't find this flavor in any store. Must order online. drugstore.com has great deals on this, always...delivers quickly, too! You might as well save your money and buy a .99 bottle of peroxide and rinse your mouth with it. There's hardly anything in the tube. Not worth almost $7. Tastes horrible. Leaves my teeth feeling unclean. Used for 2 weeks and didn't notice a difference. I had to throw it away after that.
