For a long time, I have used regular baby powder to solve this problem. I had hoped that this product would somehow be formulated for the task. It certainly is a convenient package and it avoid some of the inevitable mess of dealing with powder. But, in practice, it does not work any better and may work a little less well than baby powder. Does not clog my electric razor and there doesn't seem to be any problems with residual amounts left on face after using. Really, just a nice change. Almost as close a shave as with the liquid preshaves. Pros

When finished, my face is soft and freshly scented. It is a powder substance that does not clog the shaver nor my skin.I have used this product for many, many years and the product could no longer be found. Then, checking Drugstore.com, there it was and, of course, back to using it again. There is definitely no mistake of this product. Comments about Remington Face Saver, Pre-Shave Powder Stick , Model SP-5, 2.1 oz: I find it very helpful for use prior to shaving after a workout or shower... whenever there is moisture on the skin. The product dries out the skin so the razor glides. Produces dust in the razor but with my Norelco Arcitec, I simply rinse the head. It leaves no residue. Highly recommended.
