1 - 4 Dry, fine, fragile hair
5 - 8 Dry, normal to thick; easy to straighten hair

Okay so like...i was looking for a strightner becuase my hair is a MESS. like its always so thick and frizzy looking..but yeahh..so i went to this store thinking i could get a good price. i was looking at this one and then i was like lets try this one. it was on sale. I used it as soon as i got home and my hair was strightened in about 15 20 minutes..usually my hair takes about 1 hour to do..so i recommend this strighterner to everyone.! ITS AHHmazing.<33333

At first this product was amazing! It worked wet AND dry and my hair was frizz free and smooth.
Then it all went downhill. My hair was even frizzier than before, and my hair was dry and damaged. Worst of all, my hair started to fall out, not in like big chunks, but individual strands. By the end of the day, my hair wasn't straight anymore.
As a straightner on a low setting, it's pretty amazing, just not on the wet part.
and NO even with heat protectant it still damages nothing can change that, unless you grease your hair with it.

When I first bought this flat iron less than a year ago, I loved it - it worked well and I liked the steam feature. Unfortunately, however, a couple of months ago it started turning itself off suddenly when I try to straighten my hair, and now it turns itself off almost immediately - I can't even get it to heat all the way up before it turns off. I think it's just a cheap product with no longevity. If I had to do it over again I would have just spent the money for a higher quality one, which is what I plan to do now anyway.

I can not use ceramic flat irons because they make my already soft healthy hair look WAY TOO SHINY, it's almost gross. So I found this and was so sure it was going to work, cause hey.? Who makes metal straighteners anymore. I was thrilled. My hair is naturally wavy an not in the slightest curly, which may not be the best to go on for most of you girls. But this thing gets hot. I've straightened my hair wet several times with it and it still works great, although when wet it does take 2-3 times longer. My favorite:) Oh and I'm a 15 year old girl.

This product isn't that wonderful. It's very bulky and unattractive, and it takes a pretty long time to straighten my hair. It also snags my hair was I'm straightening because of the little air holes. Also, this straightener is NOT good for styling other than straight. The only way you can curl with it is when it's at the highest setting (meant for wet hair), and even then it hardly makes a curl. And finally it's hard to get your roots because of the bulkiness.
I do like the way you can dry and straighten at the same time, but it always makes my hair feel brittle so I only do so once a week. It has a long cord, which is nice, and it heats up very quickly.
I find this straightener no better than any other cheap one, which is odd considering everyone else rated it so highly. It's a solid straightener for those like me who don't straighten their hair every day, and is quite useful when you take a shower and don't want to blowdry your hair. I don't recommend this, because I find there are many straighteners better than this.

I would love to give this product 5 stars but I'm only giving it 4 because I really don't consider it a "wet to dry" straightener. I've got thick hair but its short (chin length) and there is no way that I would use this on wet hair. It would take an absolute eternity! But I use this when my hair is damp and it works great! My hair actually stays straight, even in humidity! I highly recommend this product!

I am black female with extremely thick and kinky hair. When I purchased this I thought, just maybe it will help a little. I was so surprised at how great my hair looks and feel. When i bought this straightener i was very surprised at how well it worked considering the price i paid for it. however it still takes me about 30 minutes to fully straighten my hair and if i actually do use it on my wet hair it tends to get more frizzy. the cord is fairly long for a good reach and it is not very heavy but it still tends to give me split ends and brekage. then agina, what straightener doesnt? the next straightener i buy will either be a chi or a conair steam thingy.

I love this machine and for the price, so great! I used to have a really expensive gold-plated iron, and it just broke my hair and singed it once or twice (when i wasn't careful). Now I can set this one to any temperature, knowing how hot its going to get without worrying about losing hair at all! It evens works on wet hair! (I would suggest not doing it fully wet, if you have thick hair...dry thick hair a little then do it...works good).
