Bausch and Lomb renu sensitive multi-purpose solution is indicated for use in daily cleaning, protein removal when used with renu 1 step daily protein remover liquid, rinsing, and storage of daily and extended wear soft contact lenses and chemical (not heat) disinfection, as recommended by your eye care professional.
Warnings
Failure to discard solution from lens case after each use or use of water to care for your lenses may lead to contamination resulting in eye injury and potential loss of vision. See accompanying instructions and important safety information. Not for use with heat disinfection. If you are allergic to any ingredient in this product, do not use. They are great in cleaning and disinfecting lenses, but sadly I am sensitive to the disinfecting ingredients, and doesn't do much in keeping lenses feeling comfortable in the eyes, at least for me it doesn't.

The no-rub cleaner requires more solution to rinse the lenses, so it is more expensive. I do like the way it cleans the lenses and ensures that they last for the duration of the lens (sometimes a few days longer).

I'm a first-time user with contacts, and my optometrist recommended this solution. It's great! It doesn't smell or react harshly with my skin/senses, and my contacts are crystal clear when I put them in, after being soaked in the solution. It's a great solution to use!

Let me just start by saying ReNu with MoistureLoc was by far the best product on the market. With that gone, I was forced to search for an alternative. ReNu with MultiPlus was certainly not an alternative. This solution is probably the worst solution I have ever used, and I've tried many. When I first put my contacts in, they sting more often than not. They are dry in the morning after being soaked overnight! I am then forced to put an unprecedented amount of drops in my eyes to moisturize the lens. By mid-day, they're dry again--time for more drops. At night, I cannot wait to get them out. The overall lifetime is also greatly reduced. Bottom Line: Not for people who have dry eyes or want to extend the lifetime of extended wear lenses.

I liked the old Renu with moistureloc but since that got pulled, I tried both complete and opti-free. Neither did a very good job and I get frequent blurred vision when my contact isn't wetted from my tears correctly with those solutions. I got a coupon for Renu Multi-Purpose and it's fantastic, definitely reduced my blur problems and the need for drops. My lenses were lasting twice as long (a month for 2 week lenses) as they did before.

This solution made my eyes sting when I put on my contacts in the morning and "No Rub"?? I would have some kind of film left on my contacts that I would have to rub off every morning! Also as far as noisturization goes, I would have to put in eyedrops by 5 or 6 o'clock, and my Acuvue Oasys would really have to get thrown out every two weeks. I definitely prefer Opti-free.
To clean, disinfect and remove protein daily, complete these simple steps. This daily regimen is recommended by Bausch + Lomb for a healthy and comfortable contact lens wearing experience:
Place 3 drops of renu freshmulti-purpose solution on each side of the lens surface and gently rub for 20 seconds.
Thoroughly rinse each side of the lens for 5 seconds with renu freshmulti-purpose solution
Place cleaned contact lens in the lens case and fill with fresh renu freshmulti-purpose solution. Soak at least 4 hours. Remember to always use fresh solution- never reuse solution.
Alternative no-rub regimen:To clean, disinfect and remove protein daily without a rub step, complete Step 2 and Step 3 only, as described above.
Always follow your eye care professional's instructions. Based upon your individual tear chemistry and lens-wearing schedule, your eye care professional may recommend additional products or procedures such as placing 3 drops of this solution on each lens surface rubbing for 20 seconds before step 1.
Storage: You may store your lenses in the unopened lens case until ready to wear, up to maximum of 30 days.
