I bought these for a biking trip to the mountains during black fly season but by accident sent them to my daughter who lives in Portland, OR so never got to try them. I'm sure they're great and thankfully the black flies weren't too bad.
This tiny pump action 100% deet repellent is perfect for your purse, picnic basket or beach bag. It doesn't smell as bad as the aerosol sprays and you don't end up spraying it everywhere just to get some on yourself. I would buy a larger version if they made it.
I'm allergic to mosquito bites, live with lots of trees, bushes and plants but never have to worry about getting bit when I use 100% Deet. I use it all the time...no other product compares!
Mosquitoes love me. So do gnats, blackflies, and almost any other six-legged biter. The ordinary insect repellants just don't work for me, so I decided to try stronger ammo. After a bit of experimentation, I added some of the pure DEET to generic body lotion -- about 1/4 of the DEET bottle to a 4 ounce container of lotion -- and I now have an effective, pleasant to use remedy to my long-standing problem of being bug food. If I am going to an especially buggy area, I spray a little full-strength DEET to the areas I get most bites: feet, hands, and upper arms. I am a frequent horseback rider, and I can't tell you how much this improves my rides! Yes, I do share with whichever horse I ride, spraying the DEET on my hands and applying it to the horse's ears, face, and neck in addition to the spray the stable uses.
Large wooded area behind my home. Has been a pest nest for YEARS. Have tried mosquito traps, fogs, and all kinds of sprays, none with any degree of satisfaction. My SIL told me about this 100% DEET product after he used it in the woods during hunting season. I ordered 2 each and upon arrival, put it through a rigorus test. As the very rear of my property has ALWAYS been the worst so went there w/no spray on. They almost picked me up and carried me away. After a small burst of spray on each arm and leg, observed the biting pest just "bumping" my skin and moving on, not ONE bite after application. A working product that does what it is intended to do!! It is a HUGE SUCCESS w/me!
