I am prone to yeast infections after my period, and because of that I prefer to wear a pad whenever I can. However, there are some days when you either want or need to wear an outfit with which a pad would simply ruin the line. Tampons can make an oncoming yeast infection worse, but, I am happy to report, not these tampons! They were a real pain to find at my local drugstores (only one in the whole zip code was carrying them!) so it's great that Drugstore dot com is offering them. And they were expensive compared to the brand I had been using. But worth it! When I started using them, it was the first time in recent memory that I didn't have a raging yeast infection right after my period. These are more absorbent than what I was accustomed to - a regular one of these can do the job that a Super in my old brand used to do. For light days that require tampons I'll have to stick with the old brand. But these are a winner in most other respects. They have definitely earned a place under my bathroom sink.

PROS: These are GREAT as far as helping the unpleasant odor that often accompanies your period. When using these, I'm not embarrassed and paranoid that others can 'tell' I'm on my period.

CONS: I really wish they made them for light days, too, as that is usually when my period odor is the worst - towards the end when it's lighter. And I wish they made 'Super Plus' - I have endometriosis and so I have very heavy days. I also have a difficult time finding these tampons in stores.

I'm not sure if it was the product, but I did not notice any "period" type odor when I used these tampons. I always use a bit of vaginal gel when I insert a tampon, as I have very dry vaginal walls, due to an autoimmune disease. So, I had no trouble with the applicator, and they "did the job." I would purchase these again.

I think this does help keep things fresh down there during the time of the month! However like some other reviewers it is difficult to insert almost like the applicator gets stuck and doesn't slide inside the other tube ( if that makes sense) thats my only compliant really. Also the protecti0on is alright I do have very heavy periods but it definitely is less superior to the popular brands

The fact that there is now a tampon that corrects the pH levels during your period is a HUGE thing for me. After every period I would get a mild case of BV (Bacterial Vaginosis) due to the imbalance of pH levels. I have a permanent prescription on file for antibiotics at my pharmacy because of this. Now that I've been using these tampons for the last couple of months, I have not had 1 re-occurrence of BV! This has dramatically improved my vaginal health and only from a tampon? Sounds crazy but they work. I recommend these to anyone who has a history of recurring BV or vaginal infections.

Writing a review for tampons is odd for me, but I read some not so good reviews for these on another site, and I though I would add my two cents. First off, I received a coupon to get these for free, otherwise I probably wouldn't pay [$] for these, A bit pricey on my budget. As far as what they're for...they work. And they work well. Better than Tampax, in my opinion. I have a very heavy cycle, and these held up very well. They are a bit odd, though, as they do not expand very much (if you use tampons, you know what I mean). My only complaint is that the plastic applicator is a little bit hard to push in. Other than that, they are perfect. I totally recommend these.

Since I don't actually have a way to measure the pH, I can't say if the claims to reducing pH are valid or not. However, they work just great and I would totally use them again!

As tampons go, these weren't so great. The absorbency/protection was pretty low, even for a small girl like me. Concerning the "ph balance" aspect of the tampons, I would have appreciated more product details in how that balance would affect me. Since I saw no significant change in any "symptoms" while using these instead of my usual tampons, it's hard for me to conclude that the ph factor is worth the hype.

Not bad at all for light days.
