On the 1st day, I couldn't get the machine to work. It wasn't registering my breathing. I put it away for a few days then tried it again yesterday. Finally it found my rhythm when I put the monitor on my chest. After getting used to the breathing cycle, I tested my blood pressure right after and it was 115/93. I thought I was DEAD...it has never been under 120. I'm excited to continue using it and seeing if I can start reducing my meds. Expensive but I used my FSA. I'm going to check to see if my insurance will cover it next.

I had a few issues at first getting the belt right (I am not a belly breather so I had to go to the back-up position on the chest) but have found it easy and pleasant to use. I have noticed significant drops in my pre-hypertensive blood pressure and hope to be able to be able to stop my meds by the fall.

It takes a minute or so to get use to it. After 10 minutes listening to soothing music and breathing to a rhythm, I felt different. It's a little uncomfortable because it forces you to breathe in a way you may not be accustomed to, but the affects are well worth using it.

I have been a resperate user for several years, and am happy with the results. The only drawback is that it is NOT covered by health insurance; at least mine.
