I use it to file and smooth after cutting my nails. The quality is poor where the edges of the file only works in certain angles and that is how most people would use it so it does not work very well. One side is supposed to be for filing down and the other side for smoothing but can't really tell the difference.

File is not coarse enough to be effective. I have an old file that is almost worn out that is better than this sorry excuse for a file.

This file works well and gets the job done well. The two sides- - filing and finishing couldn't be better.
